How should I reward and incentivise my Artificer Player to play into the strengths of their class?

Hiya! I'm a new DM, and I run a game for 5 players, one of which is an artificer. They tend to sit on the back-bench in both combat and RP scenarios, how would I get them out of their shell in terms of game mechanics?
They chose the artificer class as they want to embody the fantasy of being a scavenger-type character, who searches ruins for strange bits of old technology they can rework into various mechanisms. How can this be tied into mechanics in a fun way?

They tend to open up out of their shell when directly questioned about backstory stuff too.

Edit: I've spoken to the player out-of-game about getting involved more, but I'm looking for specifically in-game gameplay things I can prompt.

Lucky 38, from Fallout: New Vegas [Beta 1.7.3]

I just constructed the exterior of the Lucky 38 (or... Lucky 19 in my case? build height limit makes it look a little dinky, hehe) in B1.7.3! This is the start of a city I want to build in my desert I flattened here.

Inspired by u/Ebony_Phoenix 's Lucky 38 build, with a few tweaks of my own!

Lucky 38 signs will be built soon, I just wanted to show this off immediately after I finished 😆

[HELP] My skin's not updating

Hiya! Recently I've been playing Minecraft Beta 1.7.3 (using Beta Unleashed), and wanted to change my skin.
For some reason, within my Beta Unleashed instance, my skin remains what it was before, instead of changing. Is there any reason for this, and can I fix it?

Is there a mod that simulates small multiplayer-like builds and structures in singleplayer?

Weird idea, but I want to know if anything like this exists. Is there a mod that adds details, builds and structures to a world that makes it feel like players have already been there? Random cobblestone structures, small half-made houses, chests with random items, tunnels through mountains.
I know there are a few herobrine-y mods that replicate some of these features, but having those around without the actual herobrine included would be really cool. Any suggestions?

(NCR Ranger Cosplay) Help: How would I modify this replica PAGST Helmet and attach the side thing onto it? Images attached

This is going to be more of a makeshift closet cosplay than a 1:1. Any tips?

Hiya, I'm relatively new to Switch Emulation. I've recently started playing Xenoblade Chronicles 2 on Ryujinx, but I've noticed that there is a relatively common bug that causes the game to softlock on a black screen when you open the menu to save. Is there some kind of plugin I can add to the emulator so I can save *outside* the game, like a save state or something similar? Or does that not exist?
