Couple of questions for the sunflower folks.
Are these heavy feeders?
And is a bloom forming?
Soil is a peat, perlite, mushroom compost, bone meal, blood meal, worm castings all mixed according to bag directions.
Completely forgot the sowing date. But approximate guess is around April/May. Dont mind the dust build up. There was a haboob that hit last night.
Noticed this discoloration on the newer growth, and did liquid fertilize last week. Lower leaves did look like this but now fully green.
Nutrients used is General Hydroponic trio from the start. 1/4 amount during the beginning phase, and now at full strength. Plant next to it is a sweet potato slip fully grown, vining and is very healthy with the same nutrient mix
What’s your thoughts? Kinda riskin it for the biscuit.
Share your vids. I miss them. Ex-partner has both.
2 completely different cultivars or a pheno variation? Or summer vs winter traps? Any tips or advice on the bushy one?
Bought a strawberry plant on April 10, don’t know age of it from big box brand store. Pretty sure it had 2 plants in it. Growing it out and it sets flower and finally fruits. A fun and learning process as it’s my first time. Never understood the runner part till it finally sent one and seen it. Assuming that’s where the 3rd plant came from?
Question would be, is this overcrowded in a 5 gal fabric pot?
Also I’m noticing a bronzing color of the first set of fruits. Which I’ve also read, first year flowers/fruits are not normal. Seeing others growing their berries, it’s usually green.
What would be a way to combat this issue of bronzing? Am I missing a watering? It may have dried up completely but being under a lemon tree after noon, it didn’t show signs of stress?
TLDR: how much is too much for a 5 gallon grow bag? And bronzing of berries, how to combat issue or fix?
TIA
They really are giant, if that’s what it is?
