why have animals shrunk in size overtime? Or rather, why were things so big?

Why were dinosaurs so big? What caused them to shrink so much overtime, evolving into birds? is the reason why dinosaurs were so big in any way similar to why animals are larger in deep sea? (not sure if this is a relevant question in this subreddit)

can you hang a top after wet blocking without it stretching?

Im crocheting a lacy top and im thinking of wet blocking it later on, but I don't have a mat or any place to pin it down to dry. Im wondering if hanging it on a coat hanger will work without it stretching too much or ruining the pattern?

Trying to fit into a group where you’re the only stranger

im forced to work with a whole bunch of people who already know each other really well (like years of friendship) and I’m the only new guy. I try to slip into conversations but their humour is not my thing at all, and don’t even get me started on their inside jokes. how am I supposed to talk to them?

for example one time I tried to add a small comment during their conversation and literally everyone looked at me for 3 long seconds and they just kept talking Like I never said anything.

the cherry on top is that they’re all at least a year younger than me so im bound to be judged by them

how do I try and be friends with them? I don’t want things to be awkward

*** we are all teenagers.

being told to grow up

ive recently made a post asking for family relationship advice on here and the comments absolutely flamed me and criticized me for stuff that I never even mentioned and said things that were way over the top. I stated that I was a teen in my post and a lot of comments told me to "grow up" and that I should know better. it made me feel really bad and self conscious. it was like being jumped by a gang of full grown adults

ps : the post was about siblings and someone called me a child abuser. what? like, ill admit that I was wrong but come on, im a kid as well no?

[advice] Is med school really for me? what are the pros and cons?

I'm thinking of whether to go med school, and the obvious answer seems to be yes due to the pay and high employment chances, and I also enjoy studying human biology.

But as the title says, I'm not 100% sure if I should go for it since 1. im scared of blood but not to the point ill throw up or faint, and I've read that the work space may make me overcome the fear 2. I'm actually choosing between med and vet school, and my heart belongs to animals (though it seems like there's not much difference between the two except for the patient: same workload, similar things to study etc.) and 3. sounds like insane pressure and competition.

I'd appreciate if anyone would give some advice or share some of the pros and cons of going to med school, and anything about the comparison between it and vet school if possible. thanks!
