Just got 1 night so would like to hopefully pick up a couple decent blues, I know ideally id be launching down at Dutch just dont think thats going to work out this time. What bait are you guys throwing this time of year and what kind of structure are you looking for. Also any place to buy fresh gizzard shad locally? Thanks.

Best hooks for zman jerk shadz

I like zman but they can be a bit of a pain in the ass, im just looking for weighted ewg recommendations for them, I tried the zman ones but dont like how they sit, currently running a bkk with the 3.5 inch, I like it and might go and get some bigger sizes with them and see how they work with the larger 4 and 5 inch sizes

Skipping rod recommendations

Looking for a skipping rod recommendation, something 150 or below, rods i have just dont feel quite suited for it. Going to pair it with either a sv103 or sv 150. Probably looking for a mh, dont really toss too heavy of baits.

Daiwa jdm questions

Does the jdm lineup for daiwa have something similar to the tatula elite? I was thinking maybe the 22 zillion HD tw? And then do they have any 150 sized sv reels? Can't find any of those, doesnt look like they have any 150 sized reels.

Where to focus for summer time flatheads in a lake

Buddy and me might be trying for some flatheads in clendening lake in Ohio in a few weeks and wondering where I should focus, will be in kayaks so it does limit how much we can run and gun and probably out during the day, I'm thinking point drop offs will be our best bet but I'm wondering about depth, average depth of 20ish feet, not sure how deep they would be sitting out from the feeding grounds.

Resources for learning techniques

Any good youtube videos or websites that do a good breakdown of different baits and techniques and when and where to use them, would like to add some more techniques to the repertoire and figure out what im doing wrong with some others. Tried searching for it but info i got was pretty general or just the top 5 bass baits and how to fish them and it was something like a chatterbait or squarebill which I find are pretty dummy proof.

Trolling motor with a pedal kayak

For those of you who have added the terrova or similar do you still take your pedal drive? Does it just depend on where you go like bigger bodies of water wanting the extra security if something goes wrong with the motor? Keep the pedal drive out of the water when the motors in use?

Binder or case for soft plastic

Fed up with the disorganization of my soft plastic when im out, looking for something to help with that, do you prefer binders or cases? Leaning towards a binder for when im fishing out of the yak, can go under the seat and out of the way.

Roof rack platform

Looking at getting a 2022 pathfinder for towing and slightly bigger interior than my outback, have a nice platform roof rack on my outback, looking for something similar, not a huge fan of just the cross bars trying to get a kayak on them. Do not like the rack on the rockcreek so getting the rock creek isnt what im looking for.

Looking for a new tent and sleeping pad

Did a stint on the AT, so I've been using the same gear, specifically my 1 person tent and pad, 10 years later and I think my shoulder will just explode if I try sleeping on a pad thats only an inch thick. I'm camping 10ft from a car most times now so neither need to be particularly light or compact, would like to not use a paycheck for it all though. Probably go with the last horizon pad but pretty lost on whats a decent tent without breaking the bank. Think im looking for a 3 person tent that can deal with some windy areas, just not to sure what to look for or what brands, thanks.

Small river big creek baits

Hitting a sizeable creek up coming up next weekend, wondering what the go to baits are this time of the year in smaller bodies of warer, pike and musky both in the creek and wouldn't mind catching either. Got bucktails, glides from 4 to 7 inches, a few mini Medusa, some topwater and a couple cranks, shallow invaders( not sure if it counts as a crank) and a couple suicks. Anything I should take out or add? Thanks.

Any regrets with a bigger fish finder and live scope

For those of you that have added a 10inch or larger and a livescope, any regrets, do you enjoy it or have you downsized afterwards. I got the money to pick up a garmin echomap ultra with live scope and im debating, I hate spending money but why else get money lol.

Upgrading Fish finder from striker vivid, hummingbird or Garmin again.

Thinking about upgrading and also going with a 9inch fish finder, torn between the Garmin echo map uhd2 and the hummingbird xplore. Both can have ffs added which i like, im familiar with Garmin so I like that, my concern with Garmin is the compatibility with minn Kota products, or lake thereof. How good is autopilot without hummingbird chart plotters? I really like the idea of being able to stay at a certain depth or run a contour line which is what it looks like a minn Kota with a hummingbird chart plotter can do. Worth switching over if for that, to those that have it, do you use it much? Thanks

I was thinking of maybe giving this a try this year, looks fun, had a few questions about it though. Any preference for rubber baits or just good sized jerkshad and paddle tails? Any specific colors? Scents? Also what size hook am i looking to use? I was thinking some bigger zman and their tt headlock in a 6/0 or 8/0
