Thoughts on a Texture Release?

I have been a straight natural for about 1.5 years and I don’t see myself going back anytime soon. I find it much easier than the curly fros I use to wear and my hair has retained way better length than before. That being said it does get expensive to pay for silk presses very often. I do my hair at home sometimes, but it doesn’t come out as fresh and nice as the salon obviously. My issue is with my roots. They frizz pretty fast and i hate when they sweat out. It’s worse when I do my hair at home cause im not able to achieve that silky straight look I love. I’m thinking about a texture release and wanted opinions. My goal is to have my hair to be easier to straighten at home and I’m looking for that silky straight look. I have thick 3C hair that usually straightens out really well, but in its natural state it’s super thick and hard to blow dry (myself). Has anybody experienced getting a texture release? Any cons? Damage?

Watch Recommendations?

want to get my boyfriend a really nice watch. My budget is in the $1000 range. I’m not sure where to start or what is considered a nice watch. He has no watches for me to base off of. He does wear a very nice Portuguese gold chain with a cross usually, but no other jewelry. I think a watch with a gold tone would be best. Something he could wear to accessorize when we go out. Any ideas??

How to refresh edges without reverting

Got a great silk press at a salon and had my edges gel and sprayed down and hit with the blow dryer. They have stayed in place for a couple days but now they are getting white. How can I’ll refresh without reverting it?

How to get out of bedside, but still make $$$$

I feel insanely stuck at bedside and I’m trying to come up with some sort of getaway plan without going back to school. I am already 50k in debt and cannot afford another degree, but would potentially consider a certificate of some sort that would help. I have 3 years of medsurg experience, currently 1 year travel nurse experience. I also have school nurse and ambulatory experience. I feel depressed and stuck to think the only way I am able to make enough money to keep me comfortable is at the bedside. I am already feeling burnt out. I would love to leave, but most outpatient jobs I have encountered pay significantly less. If anybody has scored any great jobs outside the hospital that keeps them comfortable, I’d love to hear what it is and how you did it.

Thank you!

Headlight + conformer for Nissan

Hi all,

I have a 2014 Nissan Maxima basic sedan. Recently my driver’s side headlight went out, and I brought it to a mechanic to figure out what’s going on. Mechanic says it’s not just the light bulb, but the conformer too, and the entire headlight will need to be replaced. He is quoting me $450. He says the headlight itself is very expensive and he is charging $90 for labor. I am trying to save money on this, and found a headlight I can order on eBay, picture attached.

My question is if this headlight, granted it fits my car, would solve the issue? I am not sure what a conformer is so I am assuming it’s the entire headlight itself, but am I missing a second part I can also order? Thanks in advance.
