Samsung to announce $648 bln investments in South Korea, media report says

US$648 billion is about half of the current total market value of Samsung, which includes all of their assets. Also, according to Samsung's latest financial reports, the company has US$98 Billion USD in cash on hand, so I'd be curious to know where the actual money to finance such investment would come from.

But if this is accurate, goes to show how difficult any European initiative for "semiconductor independence" will be to implement.

Brazil police target top Lula ally in widening Banco Master lender probe

The same scandal that Bolsonaro's son was involved in and that pretty much killed his chances of becoming the next president is now impacting the Lula administration.

I think the biggest question in Brazil right now is: which politicians were not entangled with Vorcaro?

US officials downplay text of the Iran agreement, saying it doesn’t account for back-channel commitments

LOL, you can’t make this shit up. This deal is a turd sandwich and the administration is putting ketchup on it to try to make it palatable to their base. Beautiful to see Trump and his voters taking in the ass after tearing up the JCPOA and wiping their butts with it.

“I did not vote for this”

Yes moron, you did. And you did because you are a moron.

Anti-immigration sentiment rises in Japan despite growing demand for foreign workers

>Foreign residents make up about 3 per cent of Japan's total population.

Kind of shows that even if One Nation, Reform UK, AfD and MAGA were able to push the number of foreign born residents in their respective countries down to low single digits, they would still not be satisfied.
