Double charged for World Cup ticket after transaction error
Hello, my friend tried to buy one $98 ticket on New Jersey transit for a World Cup game. The website timed out because they had bad service, so it did not go through and they tried again. The first message said that the hold had expired when they clicked purchase - it was an error message.
Now, there the are two $98 charges that are both posted, not pending. They only got one receipt for the transaction, showing that one ticket was actually bought, but there are two $98 charges. There is 1 ticket in their account.
Does anyone know the best way to address this? I know they can contest it, but wondering if there is anything else we can do with New Jersey transit. They already emailed but did not get a response yet.
