Had a really frustrating Pokémon GO trade experience and wanted to share so others can watch out for this pattern.

Someone offered me their non-shiny Cubone-hat Charmander for my shiny Necrozma. I agreed because I thought the values were close enough. He then asked me to power the Necrozma to level 40. I invested the stardust and candy and did a significant power-up. Afterward he claimed it was only level 32 and accused me of conning him for the Charmander.

We then planned a second trade: his 2019 shiny Lugia for my shiny Kyurem (I have multiples and wanted the lucky chance). He again asked for a level 40 power-up. I only agreed to level it a bit, I never agreed to full level 40. He then said I “owed” him the level 40 from the previous trade and pressured me into doing it. When I asked him to also put some resources into the Lugia as a fair counter, he refused, called it a last-minute request, canceled the trade, blocked me, and told me to “enjoy my conned Charmander” and good luck if I can’t honor deals.

I never agreed to the full level-40 terms he later insisted on, and the first trade already favored him. Using previous trades as leverage, moving goalposts, then accusing the other person when they ask for any reciprocity is a bad pattern.

Just posting this so others can be aware. Trade carefully, get clear agreement on power-ups before investing resources, and don’t let someone turn previous trades into debt. Stay safe out there.

I’m a new player to the game and I find it quite annoying that I have been unable to join mushroom battles despite timing it perfectly (waiting for mushrooms destroyed and then 5 minute refresh) but despite timing it well I end up not being able to join the battle. I suppose some people just tapped so fast to join before I could? How do they do that? I have to press join and then auto to select pikmin, is there any faster way pls?
