200 amp upgrade

I’m upgrading my 20 space 100 amp breaker panel to a 40 space 200 amp panel. I don’t plan on adding any loads at this time, but my 100 amp is full and instead of upgrading to a 30 space 100 amp I figured it’d be smart to just go 200 amp and future proof it I guess. It’s a house in the Midwest built in 2006. I already had the power company come out and they said I already have a 200 amp meter installed and all the wires can handle the upgrade so the electrician and I don’t need nothing from the power company besides the disconnect & reconnect.

I hoping from some input and to help me with any questions I should ask the electrician. I know nothing about electrical. It’s a small business (he’s the owner/electrician and he’s licensed/insured)

He gave me an estimate to upgrade the 40 space 200 amp panel and adding a regular 120v outlet in the garage that’s about 10’ from the breaker panel for $1,800. It seems low…maybe that’s because nothing needs to be done by the power company and the meter is already 200 amp ready. Is there any questions I should ask him if he’s replacing whatever needs replaced for a 200 amp upgrade?

Any help is appreciated. Only questions I’ve got are these so far ⬇️

Are you pulling all the permits?

Are you replacing the line from the meter to the panel to a thicker gauge wire?

Please add any questions I should ask. Thanks in advance

Ring motion

Does anyone have any recommendations or have they ran into this issue where the ring isn’t picking up motion?

I recently upgraded to the Ring pro 3rd gen from the original Ring pro doorbell and I can’t get it to pick up vehicles in my driveway. My older Ring doorbell picked up the driveway without issues. I have my new doorbell set to max motion sensitivity and I have the motion zone covering my whole area. Any help is appreciated

Ring doorbell pro

Has anyone ran across this issue where they’ve installed a smart doorbell and the chime is still getting voltage causing a humming sound? I don’t use this old chime at all. I added a Ring chime that plugs into the outlet.

Curbside pickup

Has anyone ever had issues with their pickup orders not being fulfilled because the order got “stuck.” I placed 3 different curbside pickup orders and each order wasn’t received by the local Meijer. I contacted corporate and they could see the orders on their end, but the local store wasn’t receiving it even though they were receiving other customer orders. Corporate is currently looking into the issue and why the local store hasn’t received none of my three orders. Just curious if anyone else has came across this issue.

Credit card coverage

How does Enterprise handle damage claims if I used my Chase Sapphire preferred card for coverage. Will they wait for payment from Chase or will they immediately charge the card?

TSA Precheck

I just recently applied for my TSA pre check and I’m waiting to receive my KTN number. I won’t receive before I leave for my trip, but I should have it before I fly back home. My question is am I able to add the KTN number to my profile and use the TSA pre check when I fly back or do you have to add the KTN number when you book the flight on the reservations?

Car rental damage waiver

I normally use my personal auto insurance or my primary Amex primary car rental coverage when I rent a vehicle. My next trip later this month I’ll be returning the rental vehicle after hours for the first time (usually it’s during hours and I know I’m good right then and there) and I’ve read I’m responsible for the vehicle until the rental company opens and checks it in. The after hours return is making me a little hesitant to use my own coverage and add their coverage which is $237. 😬 Has anyone had experiences or any problems after they returned their rental after hours? Do you still waive all the car rental coverages regardless if you return it during or after hours? TIA
