Test drove an ND today as a Mazda 3 Turbo owner

Posted a week or so ago asking about Mazda3 turbo to an ND.

I was so excited to test drive the ND finally and seeing it up close the first time was great. It is much much smaller in person. It really does feel like a toy being inside. I thought my Mazda3 hatchback was already cramped but the miata takes it. I love it though. I love being snug. Also, I did not expect to like the RF. I was set on the soft top but damn, the RF looks good in person. I realized that I probably would be mostly roof up since I was sweating because of the sun lol

Now for the drive, it wasnt as life changing as I thought it would be. It was fun but it wasn't "night and day" difference fun compared to my Mazda3 but more like "apple and oranges". The pull of the torque and awd of the Mazda3 turbo is really apparent but the weight of the miata is also a big factor. After the test drive, I really felt how heavy the 3 is compared to the miata. It really was a different type of feeling for me and it isn't comparable. Theyre both fun in their own ways. Miata as a fun car and Mazda3 as a jack of all trades.

What really is stopping me though is that I like driving with my wife and daughter. The Miata couldnt provide that, sadly. We have a minivan so there is no isse with space but I like driving windy roads with them and the minivan might tip over.

Even then, I still cant stop thinking about the Miata. Maybe in the future

Looking to get into welding

I just turned 30 and it is very hard to find jobs on my current field so Im looking to get into trades as both my dad and brother are in. They suggested I do welding and do schooling for months so I can get into apprenticeship. My brother could get me into his job as well that is unionized with good hours and pay.

Is welding a good trade to be in? Im more worried about the employement and if the field is secure.

One year ownership of my '25 GT Turbo

Ive enjoy my time with this. Ive done some couple cosmetic mods but my favorite would be my borla axleback. Plan to add midpipe in the future since I didnt realize that it would be this quiet on a turbo compared to an NA. But my next mod would probably be new wheels

Mazda 3 turbo vs MX5

I currently own the Mazda 3 turbo hatch but I am interested in getting the mx5 since we recently got a minivan. It will be my daily and fun car. I probably drive like 3 or 4 times a week.

For those who own both or have upgraded from one to another, how big is difference (good or bad)

4th client we've had. How did we do?

Charged $170 CAD for interior and exterior. Car hasnt been cleaned for 2 years and is a smoker's car. Even found maggots under the mats. It definitely was satisfying to see the result but it was not perfect. Wasnt able to remove all the stains from the leather seats. We are still gaining experience. It is tiring but fun to see results.
