$50 for this is just too much

I missed out on the spawn anniversary thing and every time I saw pictures of it I was really impressed with how cool it looked. So the first chance I got to get this Dragon, my favorite original image character. I jumped on it. I know there were a lot of bad reviews. I did actually see them so I wasn't completely going in blind. But man, I have never been this disappointed with a premium figure and I got maximum Hulk from Marvel Legends. It's a fairly good representation of the era but it's just nothing. I don't know that I wanted fake hair but he's so smooth and dragon is a hairy hairy character. I don't understand why this couldn't have just been a regular release. I've had the toy biz version for well over a decade and he's been a great figure this is not replacing him on my shelf. If this would have been the normal 27 bucks without the stand or the fake comic in the back, I'd have been relatively happy but just utter disappointment I really can't even describe it.

Silver age Wally question

hey all just a powers question about silver age Kid Flash. When wally was regularly hanging out with Barry, was he as fast/powerful as barry or was not as fast? I know he eventually had his speed limited during the wolfman perez run and i know he became exponentially more powerful under Waid. He'd have to be at least close to as fast because he could do the vibrate through walls trick and travel on the time treadmill with Barry, but I also imagine they'd keep Barry stronger since it's his name on the book. Or is this one of those things change for whatever story they were telling because it was the silver age and people weren't as anal back then

Welp Amazon gonna Amazon

I'd be lying if I said that I'm not impressed with the balls of straight up returning an empty box, but goddamn

Today in figures I never thought I'd find

Look at this little gremlin.

For those of you who don't know, this is the character that came with the Toy Biz Mecha Hulk. It's a pre-existing hulk villain known as the gremlin and he's going right to the front of my Hulk shelf

Shout out to the Toy Pit in Indy. They really are a great store if you are in town

Just felt like posting my Deadpool shelf. It has figures from the movies and the comics associates, roommates, sidekicks etc. What do y'all think?

Psylocke is pretty great

I got the new psylocke and I agree that the cape is a little stiff, but I'm really happy to have a pre ninja Betsy figure. I really hope at some point we get a Revanche or Captain Britain I also would like it if Kwannon got an updated suit. Especially if it's on the game reverse body. Make it a two pack with Greycrow and I will pre-order it

It's in the works--the force works

So, I got the box wave in the mail today and as someone that has been reading comics long enough to remember this team I really had to do something to remember them. If you are not in your forties or later, it's probably very easy to completely forget. Pre-Annihilation, Pre legion lost, pre guardians of the Galaxy, Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning reimagining the Avengers West Coast in an extreme fashion. But I remember, I was there. They had Hawkeye leave the team and Wonder Man sacrifice himself, but it lasted only 2 years. Somehow, this team was The supporting cast on the Iron Man cartoon in the '90s with it's awesome theme song.

I cut my Defenders display in half so I could give the s team a permanent display. Rightfully forgotten or not, I remember when this version of US Agent was one of the most sought after toys with his in arm shield launcher.

We're getting really random 90s characters, but I somehow doubt we'll ever get a marvel legends Century with his teleportation axe Parallax

Now if you'll excuse me I must fade away into dust

Cowabummer dude

I got the two movie turtles I needed, so now I'm set except for random foot soldiers. It's nice to have a full set though

Maximum Effort

Got two absolutely amazing figures in the mail today. Maximum Thor and the new archangel. Probably going to take my time to do something special with them but first impressions

Thor is everything everyone is saying. Amazing poseability. Wonderful texture.

As for archangel, better wings and better coloring than the old version. I REALLY want the rest of the original horsemen

X-Men

I'm of the opinion that a low grade is better than no grade, so with that in mind here are the first 8 issues of X-Men

Just got the new abomination

I didn't get the movie version build a figure because I really didn't like the head, so the scope on this is new to me. I was not expecting it to be so much larger than the original builder figure. I like the range of motion in the arms and legs. Kind of would have liked to have alternate hands, but they've been skimping on alternate hands for some reason for a while. The head sculpts are all really good. As a big fan of immortal. Hulk hand face is incredibly creepy and great. I was really hesitant to get this because I didn't think I needed to upgrade from the build of figure that much. But this is substantially better and would recommend even if you already have the old figure.

Random Rick Jones thought

Just weird that a character so vital to the mythos doesn't have a real figure, but we have four unique figures of characters who bonded with him
