Rally - Question

I was listening to an audiobook about hospice and I just wanted to come on this sub to read some posts.

Tonight I read, for the first time, that someone experienced the rally about a month before death, I've always read, for years that the rally is something that someone experiences shortly before death. You are dying, then random terminal lucidity, then sudden decline followed by imminent death.

I was never able to make sense of my dad's rally because he experienced that about 3 weeks or so before he died. Is it possible and what is your loved ones' story?

Also, is it possible for a patient to experience "mini rallies"?

For about 2 months my dad was in and out of coma, some days it really looked like he was getting better almost hope for him to survive, then just randomly decline shortly after.

But the "big rally" happened about 3 weeks before, where he was able to eat and was completely lucid.

Thank you for your responses!

I'd love some beginner friendly and possibly "rustic/lesser known" EGYPTIAN recipes/dishes please 🤞🏼🤞🏼

My dad was Egyptian and growing up I tried some Egyptian food.

However living in Italy and my mom/grandma cooking most times I don't feel like I really learned a lot about Egyptian cuisine.

My dad passed away almost 2 years ago and I'd love to learn Egyptian cuisine as a way to honor his legacy and carrying on the Egyptian genes/traditions.

I love cooking Roz Maamar, Egyptian rice, shakshouka, I heard of koshari although I never tried it or made it.

What are lesser known Egyptian dishes that, when you eat them, make you feel at home?

I miss the old you

How did we get here? I wish I could unsee so many things and leave things as they were. I miss when it was just me and you and no other people were involved.

I wish I could rewind and change so many things. The way I spoke to people, the way I spoke to you. I hate that trust is dead between us.

I hope you know that many things I did were out of a place of hurt and I don't really hate you. I don't know if what I feel is exactly love. All I know is whatever this is, it's strong. And I am hurt. You will never believe how hurt I am because I would rather people think I'm weird than see me hurt.

I am so expressive yet when it comes to 1:1 emotions I'm so impaired. I miss you. I know you'll never read this and we'll probably never get the closure we need, but again I hope both of us can learn from all this and not repeat the same mistakes.

Explaining Ads to you (Android)

I'm making this post because there is a lot of confusion about ads and how they work.

Per JustPlay's TOS, each reward is tied to an ad ID which is a unique identifiable series of numbers that is being used to, specifically give your account an "identity" (remember this for later).

Resetting your AD ID is a bannable offense and I will explain why

Per JP's TOS and coin conversion guidelines, there are many factors they look at when paying you. Such as time spent in the game, advancement, proprietary fraud scoring and the most important yet most infamous one: ADS

I see a lot of people, myself included, wonder, what ad pays the most?

The answer is simple, on Android, it most likely is a Google ad by Google AdMob.

Yet here's the caveat. Each time the same ad repeats, you will get less and less. It doesn't matter if it's Google, Unity, Applovin or Mintegral. Someone made a post yesterday saying something similar. That is why people do reset their accounts every so often, take breaks or even reset AD IDs.

The reason why resetting your ad ID is a bannable offense is because by doing so you are constantly erasing your "ad reputation" within JustPlay and in a way, you are acting as a new user each time you do - yet in their system they can see it's still you, if that makes sense 😂 it's like somebody doing something wrong and fleeing the city yet not really fleeing the city but just masking their identity by wearing a new wig. It is still YOU, yet you're a new "person". Meaning yeah I spammed a bunch of ads, now I want a clean slate so I can do it again😂

In a few words, you clearly are doing it to get a higher payout and JustPlay doesn't play that game. So to answer your question, I know some of you will wonder this, which ad pays the most? THE ONE THAT PLAYS THE LEAST

Newer ads pay the most. The ones that your AD ID is not familiar with and registers as a fresh 1st time view.

Said this: if your ads are repeating, it doesn't matter if they're Google, it doesn't matter if they're Applovin, or Unity, TAKE A BREAK.

I guarantee you, the same Lilly Health/Poly market/Carfax Google Ad playing on repeat will not pay you as good if that's all you see.

The safest way to preserve your account, is to take constant breaks and let your AD profile breathe.

I'm sorry

It feels so suffocating when you really want to say something but that thing will not be heard or might get twisted. I've put up a shield to protect myself but the truth is that I know exactly what happened and what I did to make it happen.

I choose to look at the mirror you're holding up for me and realize that you are right. I am a bad person. I have done terrible things. I constantly hurt those I love. And I know that, in a way, even though you definitely did your part, I have hurt you too.

This isn't something new, I know, I already do. You aren't teaching me anything new. I have always fucked things up and tried to make them right. Because you see, I do speak up about my wrongdoings. I just don't don't let you see that side of me because I can't get myself to trust you.

I'm sorry for hurting you. I'm sorry for acting like I did no wrong. This can definitely come across as gaslighting but I can't get myself to be that vulnerable with you.

I just want you to know that I don't live in a delusional world where I think you're the ultimate villain. I know, I have my part in this too. I hope we both can heal from this, and learn not to make the same mistake again.

Why wanting to be ruthless backfires

"If I just stop caring, stop being nice, and learn to manipulate people, I’ll finally win."

It’s an easy fantasy to buy into, especially when you feel burned by being too nice. But treating the Dark Triad (Machiavellianism, Narcissism, and Psychopathy) like a life hack ignores the heavy hidden tax that comes with it.

The Hidden Costs of Playing the Villain

1. Constant Paranoia

When your primary way of navigating the world is manipulation, you assume everyone else is playing the exact same game. You lose the ability to trust. Every friendly gesture looks like a move on a chessboard, turning your mental life into a high-stress, hyper-vigilant prison.

2. Shallow, Fragile Success

Dark Triad traits might buy you short-term gains, like a promotion through office politics, temporary power, or quick compliance. But they destroy long-term leverage. Machiavellian setups are fragile; the moment your leverage dips, the people you used will gladly watch you fall. Real power comes from trust and allies, not hostages.

3. Permanent Isolation

You can’t cheat the system: emotional coldness cuts both ways. If you dull your capacity for empathy, guilt, and vulnerability to avoid pain or gain an edge, you also destroy your capacity for authentic connection, love, and deep satisfaction. You end up winning a game no one else wants to play, entirely alone.

The Real Upgrade Isn't Cruelty, It’s Boundaries

People who wish they were more "sociopathic" usually don't actually want to hurt others. What they actually want is:

To stop being taken advantage of.

To make decisions without overwhelming guilt.

To stop people pleasing at their own expense.

You don't need to turn cruel for that. You just need emotional regulation, clear boundaries, and self respect.

Being dangerous enough to protect yourself while choosing to remain fair and empathetic isn't weakness, it's high level maturity. Don't trade your humanity for a cheap shortcut to power.

Learn the game, but don't become a player. IT WILL BACKFIRE SOONER OR LATER.

Immorality works exactly like an addiction

The first time you do something you know is wrong, your conscience screams at you. You feel sick, anxious, and guilty.

But if you get away with it? Your brain recalibrates.

The First Line: Crossing a boundary hurts, but escaping the consequences makes the pain fade.

The New Normal: The second time you do it, it feels easier. By the tenth time, you don't feel a thing. The guilt is gone.

The Escalation: Because small wrongs no longer register, it takes a bigger, worse act to give you that same pause..or to get the same advantage.

Philosophers like Aristotle argued that virtue is a habit. But the opposite is also true: getting comfortable with the wrong choices is a habit, too.

You rarely lose your integrity all at once. You just build up a tolerance to losing it, one small pass at a time.

Having an issue with Google Ads

Hey guys, I'm having an issue with Google Ads, I'm not sure if I'm the only one.

How do I explain it. I'll open a game, play an ad and a set of 3 Google Ads will play normally, then after that I'll try playing another rewarded ad but it does not play. It does open the Google ad screen but the ad is frozen.

I've been observing this all day and I noticed it does this every other ad I play. If I close and reopen the game I'll be able to play the first ad but then be forced to close again because the ads freeze.

Did this happen to anyone else and how did you fix it?

Language assessment to unlock more studies went blah and I need advice

Okay so my native language is Italian. I just took the language assessment in Italian and it went horribly. The worst part was when I needed to write and I was told last minute my keyboard needed special Italian characters which I have but it took me a good 10 mins to switch.

The way my keyboard works is I have to press alt and shift to shift from accents àéíóú to regular symbols such as '"*;:! Etc.

While I was doing that, I went so fast I accidentally took a screenshot because I hit windows+shift and I got a warning. When I was almost done I closed everything because I was overwhelmed. I thought it would let me start over instead I picked up where I left off and finished and if I remember well one question completely skipped.

Am I at risk of losing my account over this? I know this is dumb but I genuinely didn't think this assessment would be this hard even for a native speaker!

Mystery Gift - New Feature on Android

Just showing you guys there's a new feature on android, a mystery gift. I found mine while playing balls bounce last night, it's at the top right of the screen and the more time spent on the game the higher the reward will be. I haven't had time to test this properly but after the green box there is a blue box with even higher rewards that I didn't get a chance to finish.

iOS question

I'm trying to figure out if anyone had this happen as well. All my past 4 payouts have been in even numbers no matter the amount of coins or ads I'm watching.

$2.00, $6.00 (challenges), $1.00 and $1.00

This is the first time it happens, I've never seen anything like this on JP and I kinda doubt that my play time/ad watching was so precise 4 times in a row for me to keep hitting such perfect numbers.

Maybe it's a coincidence who knows. Just curious to hear from y'all.

I'm so HAPPY! I'M SUCH A NERD I KNOW BUT I'M SO HAPPY

Tip for Spider Stack/Solitaire

Randomly tapping doesn't always help with this game because sometimes it's a matter of one misplaced card and you have to start all over again.

First of all yes you might wanna try Spiderette if you're not fond of this game but something people do not talk about enough is how you want to complete the sets piece by piece and one by one.

I don't know how to explain this properly so follow me 😂

You always want to start with K, once you find your King you wanna build that set up. For example in that picture you see I need a 6. So I'm just stealing that from another little set that is not led by a king.

The goal is to complete sets, I know I will find another 6 at some point but in the meantime one set is done.

Again. RANDOMLY TAPPING DOESN'T ALWAYS HELP.

JustPlay is my FU money (Happy 6th)

I saw the 6th birthday post and, being the impatient person I am, I rushed to post, but I deleted it. It felt too much like the usual ''JP saved my life'' poverty porn, and that’s not my reality. I’m here to be honest: JP hasn’t saved me from homelessness or life saving surgery, and I’m not going to play that card.

But it has done something arguably better: it’s become my FU Money.

It covered some vet bills for my cat, it helped me give back to the community, sure, but mostly it turned into the money that covers all those small, "insignificant" expenses that actually drain you: the Starbucks runs, the daily coffees, the little luxuries that add up to hundreds a month. It’s the money that lets me live comfortably and gives me the freedom to tell the world to EFF OFF without it hitting my bottom line. It’s not wealth of course lol but it’s autonomy.

If this giveaway is about how the app actually impacts our daily lives, this is it: It turned the grind into my freedom to enjoy the small stuff without a second thought, whether it is for an Amazon purchase, gambling, reinvesting, a Starbucks drink or my beloved chicken nuggets.

Whether I make the top 3 or not, I wanted to share what that actually looks like for me. Happy 6th Birthday JP. ❤️
