This has been going on for a while, not sure why my account is doing this.

New to lacrosse, besides some of the obvious names like Teat, Smith, Bryne, Walker-Welch, Dobbie, Evans, Spence, Cordingley, I have no idea. Trying to learn more about the sport and not only the big Canadian names but ones that have the potential make the squad before the Olympics.

Yeah big issue

Back in Grade 8 (and I also had him in Grade 9), about 6-7 years ago, there was a teacher I had who really made an impact on my life. I was struggling a lot to get work done, and closing in on 2 weeks before the Winter deadline to complete the course, I had barely done anything. Spent all my time in class slacking off, and being a little shit as always haha

The next day, he spoke to me in private and told me this, "You know what, I know you can do this. I see something fucking special in you. If I can believe in you, you can believe in yourself”. Those words hit me hard. It wasn't only what he said, but the fact that it came from him. He believed in me when I didn't even believe in myself.

After that, I managed to complete every single assignment in a span of 1 week. Every time I would want to stop working, I remembered what he said.

Fast forward years later, and his words are still motivation in my life. The problem is, I'm stuck again, and well... my life isn't moving at the speed I want it to.

Would it be inconsiderate to ask him if we could grab a coffee and chat? I know teachers are off work in the summer, don't wanna overstep. I'd be fine to do it anytime that works.

I'm wondering if I'd be allowed to bring a portable door lock/plastic door wedge onboard, not in the prohibited or permitted sections so I don't know.

For some context, my grandma is booking a cruise for us May 2027, for her final "big trip". Everyone will be above 21 during sailing except me who's 20, which unfortunately means I'm not old enough to stay in a room by myself, and will be stuck with a parent. Such fucking bullshit.

Luckily there's the caveat that if you have a parent that's over 21+ and stays next door/across the hallway then it's doable, and my dad has agreed to allow me to be in the room by myself while he's with my grandma. The issue is he still has access to my room. Now if he actually respected my privacy and knocked before entering instead of barging into my room three times a day without giving me any warning like he used to, it wouldn't be an issue. But, he does do that, and you can see why it would be an issue. I've already tried talking to him, doesn't work.

Alright, I've been thinking lately about how I'm not currently going in the direction in life that I want to go in, so in the past week I've decided now's the time to change that

For some context, I'm 20 years old, and haven't had my first job yet. My cousin's boyfriend is a district manager at a retail company, they've been dating for almost a year and a half. I've probably seen the guy maybe 5-7 times over that timeframe, but we haven't talked much. I was thinking of asking him if there's any job openings available or if he could give me some insight into what the job is like. Should I ask my cousin if it would be weird beforehand or am I overthinking it?

Hey everyone.

So, first thing. I'm a huge movie buff, and unfortunately that means hundreds of movies get added to my watch list every year. That comes with a problem, as it means it's almost impossible to track everything. I already follow accounts like DiscussingFilm and FilmUpdates on Twitter, and it works for the major films, but there's also a lot that they miss. And checking TMDB/IMDB/Letterboxd doesn't work, because going through all of the movies would take me multiple hours and I don't have that time.

Also, on TMDB/IMDB, I've noticed a lot of the upcoming films that are on there aren't happening and have been shelved, and yet they're still on the site. Wondering if there's any that filter that out.

Any news on where you’ll be able to watch it?
