How do I stop my nautiluses from suffocating in this aquarium?

Right after finishing this aquarium, I received the message that my Zombie Nautilus had suffocated in a wall. This was very random as there's nothing in the aquarium that would cause them to dash (pufferfish) and they should be able to maneuver through all the 1-block spaces. Could it be the waterlogged copper grates on the ceiling? It's concerning as I have two more Zombie Nautiluses and quite a few regular nautiluses in here, and I don't want to lose anymore.

Edit: Noticed I'm missing a turtle too so the issue seems even worse than I thought...something is claiming my large aquatic mobs :(

This has got to be the most absurd Ancient City I've ever been to

There's a spider dungeon in the redstone room, an abandoned mineshaft above the city, an amethyst geode (not pictured) literally inside one of the structures, and a lush cave also above the city.

Does anyone know why this happens or how to fix it?

I'm trying to edit this puffin image, and at first I used the auto mask feature on the puffin, which worked well. However, by the end of the editing process, I realized the foliage in the foreground looked very distorted. I realized that the edits on the puffin, which looked fine on the sharp subject, carried over to the rest of the image in much smaller amounts. As the edits accumulated, it increased until the foliage looked very odd, ruining an otherwise great edit. After that I tried to use the manual mask, carefully brushing the entire area I wanted to edit (pictured) and even using a negative brush on the foliage just for good measure. But the edits STILL carried over to the foliage! Is there any way to fix this, because right now I just cannot edit the image to my standards without completely ruining the soft foreground.

Edit: I found a semi-solution, it doesn't actually fix the error but it's a workaround. Add as many masks as possible in one tune image session (5 is the max) instead of doing multiple sessions. It will still affect the whole photo but at 5x less than it would with 5 seperate masks.

Probably gonna get downvoted to hell on mainstream Reddit because people don't like changing their ways, but people treat bugs like their lives hold absolutely no value. I've seen so much "they're in my house, I get to kill them" sentiment online, and even when I try to tell people that bugs are not humans and have no malicious trespassing intents, they just don't care. People believe they have the right to kill completely harmless bugs (most spiders, centipedes, ants, flies, beetles, millipedes, etc) just because they wandered into their house. People say they wish they felt pain (which much evidence shows that they could), or that they torture them when they kill them.

Listen, I avoid even killing mosquitoes, but if you're going to, don't be an asshole about it, and make it quick. And for bugs that pose no harm, you don't have a moral right to kill them just because they came inside. It's so sad when innocent animals get killed for being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
