Dentist is concerned about my gums. Should I worry?

I’m 25 and I’ve been routinely going to the dentist every 3 months. When I first saw these dentist a year ago, they started suggesting deep cleaning, laser, and wisdom teeth removal. They’ve all been done and nearly spent $1000. Now, my recent visit, they checked that the deep cleaning helped with my pockets, but not entirely. Especially the teeth corners are the concerns. My dentist is worried that at my age, my gums/bones are deteriorating at a fast rate. When they poked it, it was around a 4/5. My front/center teeth were 2/3. Dentist is referring me to a gum specialist and they will either suggest to keep sticking to the 3 month regimen, maybe might do another laser or gum surgery. I’m pretty healthy, I brush x2, floss daily. No cavities. They keep asking me if I feel pain in my gums or jaws, but I never felt anything. Before this particular dentist, my gums have never been brought up as an issue. Now, this dentist is suggesting all these procedures. Should I be worried about this? Is this a cash grab?

Studio Apartment Hunting for Myself in SoCal - Which option sounds better?

I am studio apartment hunting in SoCal. I work hybrid 2x in the office. I drive a Corolla LE. My biweekly paycheck after 401K, health insurance, and taxes is $2026.

$2026 x 26 weeks/12 =$4389.67 a month

Which option sounds?

Option 1 -
Distance: 20 miles away from office (40 miles x 2 = 80 miles/week) - 30 minutes-1 hour away
Rent: $1750/month
Utilities not included (all electric (no gas), trash, and water): ~$150/month
Internet: ~$50-$70/month
Total: $1950-$1970/month

Option 2 -
Distance: 7.5 miles away from office (15 miles x 2 = 30 miles/week) - 10-20 minutes away
Rent: $2125 (Electric, gas, trash, and internet is included)
Water: ~$30-$50
Total: $2155-$2175/month

I’m currently in California and I have been looking for jobs all over from San Francisco, Los Angeles, and San Diego, but no luck. I have 3 years of experience, so I am technically junior level. It also took me 1 1/2 years to find my current job. There’s more jobs hiring for senior level jobs than entry level/junior level here. Let alone, there are only a few food and beverage companies here.

I have friends from New Jersey and told me that there’s more jobs there and it’s much more inexpensive to live. I look at LinkedIn and lone and behold, there are much more options in New Jersey. I used in work in encapsulation and flavor systems, now work in nutrition. Is New Jersey the way to go to find a job?

For a while now, my espresso shot was coming out SUPER sour. It was not good drinking and its own, but drinking as a latte was okay at best. I finally was able to make my espresso at least drinkable by increasing the water temperature and keeping all other variables the same. It’s still slightly sour and can taste some bitterness now, but so much better! How can I make this even better to be well balanced and creamy?

Machine: Breville Barista Express
Coffee Beans: Cafe Lavazza Super Crema
Ground Size: Dial 3
Coffee Ground Weight: 18g
Coffee Out: 36g
Finished: 25 seconds

I’m 25 and feel like I am in the quarter life crisis. I’ve never lived alone and my immigrant parents have always sheltered and controlled me. They always wonder where I’m going. I practically have to sneak out of the house sometimes. We also don’t have a good relationship. I often hide in my room all day feeling depressed.

The situation is I want to move out and the catch is I currently live and work hybrid 2x in office in Orange County (looking a job in LA but job market is horrible). Everything is so much more expensive in OC, especially housing as it’s catered to multiple incomes aka families. I’m just a single person. I’ve always dreamed of being in the city. I love LA and often visit on the weekends.

I found an apartment ($1600/month) and done some budgeting. After paying rent and my expenses, I’d save $400/month. Although, I also in the future want to own a home and renting right now would slow down this goal of mine. I currently save $2000/month living with my parents at the expense of my mental health.

1 side tells me that I’m young and I should experience all the things I want to do, such as living alone before getting too old. Another side of me says, for my future, I should save money and buy a home to build equity.

Is it better to buy a condo or rent an apartment in LA? Looking to move into a studio or 1 bedroom apartment in the future (saving right now). My budget for buying a condo would be 300-400K. Rent would be maximum $1800/month. I want to live in downtown LA.
