Resort pass for a day. Family of 4

Staying at a condo in kihei but would like to do one day at a resort for the kids.. something differnt than the condo.

Were good with driving to the NW. We see on resort pass a good amount of options. Just not sure which is is worth it and best suited for kids 9 and 12.

Any recommendations greatly appreciated.

Farm tours -- that dont break the bank?

Hey all, We are a family of 4 that would like to check out a couple farms while on maui.

Are any farms open to checkout without a massive per person fee? Seems like most are 100-150 pp for a couple hour tour.

If it was just me and my wife, id be ok with 1-2 during our stay but we have 2 kids that most places consider an adults.

Hard to justify 500-600$ spend when kids will likely not eat whatever they offer and arnt really interested in farms at all :)

Thank you

Maui snorkeling

Hey all

My family and I are heading to Maui in July!!

We have a lot of experience snorkeling in the Caribbean mostly Cayman Islands and Turks and Caicos, Aruba this is our first trip to the Pacific!

I also freedive..im not great but looking to improve. Maybe a lesson or 2 on the island.

I've been watching the snorkel report the last couple weeks and it seems like they often get swells and bad conditions that affect snorkeling on the island what are your takes on how often the conditions are actually stable enough to get out on the water? Usually I just wear a rash guard..or sometimes not! Esp mid summer in cayman.

On Maui, do I need a wetsuit? is that required in July?or can I get away with the rash guard? any other recommendations for gear to bring or general tips that will make our first visit an enjoyable one!

Thanks all

Grand cayman Vs. Maui

Hey all.

Long time Grand cayman visitor but this summer we are considering switching it up! Never been to Hawaii and kids are old enough now to hopefully stomach the long trek.(from Toronto)

How do the islands compare? My wife would stay on cayman permanently if it was up to her! Loves the people, weather and clear waters. Thanks all.

Maui in July? Snorkeling ?

Hey all the last four years we've been going to the Caribbean for quiet vacation during July for example we went to Grand Cayman last year and Aruba the year before this year we wanted to switch it up and make the Trek all the way to Maui for the first time or Hawaii in general.

How does it compare in the summertime is it really busy? For example Grand Cayman and Aruba are quiet in the summer and very hot!

Also how do you how does the snorkeling compare for example Grand Cayman and Maui? We love how crystal clear the water is in Grand Cayman and bathtub warm it is all summer long!

First trip to Maui from Canada

Hi all planning our first trip to Maui coming from Canada we're playing to spend three weeks the first 3 weeks of July.

We are looking for affordable accommodations two bedrooms. We are a family of four kids 12 and 8.

We don't need fancy Resort accommodations but looking now for clean comfortable accommodations preferably on the ocean. We are used to traveling to the Caribbean and always stay in Airbnb or rental homes.

Should we split up our accommodations between two locations on Maui or stay in one place and just travel from there?

Any recommendations or tips and tricks would be greatly appreciated thanks so much

With all the chatter about how great the incentives were on BZ.

I thought I'd go check it out for myself. I called three dealers in my local area and only one of them had a bz in stock to test drive. Im in north GTA.

Went for a drive looked over the car overall not overly impressed but not too bad either has great power nice fit and finish typical Toyota. It was an XLE all-wheel drive in Gray. Went over some numbers with the sales associate and he only recommended the lease cuz he said that no one's been buying them because everyone's scared of depreciation He also mentioned that they front loaded the lease because they depreciate heavily.

He said the only way to get 0% on the lease was to put $5,200 down plus $1,700 in fees non-refundable. the $5,200 would be a security deposit that would be refunded at the end of the lease.

604.51 x 48months@20000km per year=29 016.48

Buyout $ 20822

7154.54 down (5200 returned after 4 years)

($2008 in non refundable fees)

To me this is way too much to lease a car for 4 years after 3 years you're out of warranty other than the battery and motor warranty that which goes to eight years so you're on the hook for the fourth year on your own.

Anyone else feel the same way or am I missing something here?

EDIT: its may1st and appears the incentives are changed. Pending confirmation

Shopping for my first used EV. It will replace my old reliable jetta TDI. I no longer have long commutes that require massive range. My wife has a newer ice car so this EV will be our around the town car.

Which evs are lowest to ensure? I've heard teslas are the worst?
