I go to the video on Channel Content. It has been set to private. I click on the down arrow & get the window showing it's marked private & click on edit. I enter my gmail address, then click on send email. Click DONE. Click Save.

I get an email that says I've shared a private video, & I click on the link. I very briefly get a window on YouTube that shows the video preparing to play, then the window switches to 'Video Unavailable. This video is private.'

What am I doing wrong, please?

It's a 4-bay box with 4 10TB disks. I logged in via the web browser & went to System Reset a couple of days ago. I have the window saying DiskStation is restarting, after it resets blah blah blah.

The amber light is flashing, all the disk lights are steady green, & I can hear the clicking of activity. Is taking this long normal?

If not, how do I get out of this?

Sony says this can be connected via bluetooth or USB C. I'm considering the Air as a monitor.

Anybody have experience? Laggy on bluetooth? Visibility in sunny daylight? Clamp to tripod?

Here's my frequent use. I use a tripod with the head above crowd level, which means I can't really see the LCD screen. I record outdoor events (concerts, parades) on sunny days. I use manual focus to keep the camera from autofocusing on people & things that pass by in the foreground & background, so I need to confirm focus on the monitor. Events last 3 to 4 hours, so I need a freshly charged battery to last that long.

Do I understand Sony's Web page on Monitor & Control that I will have some control over the FX30 with the iPad connected via C?

I'm considering the Air because I'll use it at home for fun & games as well as for the monitor purpose.

I'm open to any brand other than QNAP (for reasons below).

I have 4 Ironwolf drives in the DS412+. It's now backing up & telling me that it's going to take 13 hours; the QNAP took a half hour to back up the same files. I've had this problem with the Synology drive for a long time. Last week I called support & after some questions, the guy had me reset the DS412+, & it solved the problem with no loss of data; backups took a half hour. But the problem is back. I'd prefer a different brand, but it may be the old DS412+ has just lost its mind & a newer box would solve the problem.

My needs: I never stream from the NAS. I don't have it attached to the Internet except when I download updates to the firmware. I do nothing but back up the contents of a 22TB drive that has all my stuff on it. Some of the files are huge videos that I back up to the QNAP & Synology, and I never play them from the NAS. I use the 2 stations solely for storage. Both devices are set up with RAID5. I want good backup speeds, but I have no use for streaming, cloud storage, HDMI, or any of the apps that come with the device. I use them solely to backup my 22TB drive & for no other use. I use Carbon Copy Cloner for backups.

Since I have the 22TB drive backed up to the QNAP, I don't mind having to format the current Synology drives & doing a fresh backup.

They're connected to my iMac via a gigabit ethernet switch. My computer's ethernet is 1000BaseT. It has Thunderbolt 3 which I use for external drives. Both devices are off more than they're on, as I don't back up sometimes for weeks at a time, & then they're on only as long as the backup takes.

REASONS BELOW: I have a QNAP NAS already, & I want a brand other than QNAP in case I have problems with the OS for QNAP as I am having with Synology. I don't want both NASes stuck. If I've left anything out, please let me know. :-)

OS 26.5.1; fcpx 11.1

I have recordings of a 3-hour event from 2 cameras set at 4K. I want the final project to be at 1080p. I set the event & project up for 1080, then import media, telling fcpx to use proxies.

Does the import of the 4k film lower its resolution to 1080? Are the proxies of 1080 video?

With multicam, my iMac drops frames like crazy, so I turn off angle views, & it works fine. I have the iMac that I have, so I'm not going to buy a new one. Is there something I'm missing so that I can use multicam & angle views without the stuttering of dropped frames?

FCPX 11.1; OS 26.5.1

I have two 3-hour clips of an event I recorded, one clip on FX30 & one on FS5. The FX30 clip is underexposed, & I need to correct that before I join the clips for multicam. Apparently I can't do that on the clip in the browser. I can in the timeline.

How do I correct the exposure before I do the multicam editing, please? Or solve the problem in whatever way.

I have a DS 412+ with 4 Ironwolf 10TB drives, RAID 5.

When I power on with the drives installed, the blue light blinks forever. I removed the drives & the blue light came on steady, beeped, then the amber status light blinks. I suspect this means the operating system is corrupted. Is this correct?

What next?

The recipe is for a 4-5 pound brisket. The store's biggest brisket was 2 pounds.

The recipe says to heat the oven to 300F & roast for 3 - 4 hours. How long should I cook the 2-pound beef, please?
