Any ideas on this MF head?

Brickognize doesn’t find any results and couldn’t find anything on Google lens.

There is no back of the head printing, hollow stud on top of head with Lego logo, inside has Lego logo + part number 3626 and (factory code?) 26-47

Came in a used lot that had lots of Star Wars, Ninjago, Jurassic park; Harry Potter, city and more.

I thought it might be from an ACU soldier from Jurassic world but couldn’t find anything.

Maybe it’s pad printed?

Worth the wait?

Ordered within the first 10 minutes and the order was placed but never processed because of an error. Once I followed up with support they gave me roughly $35 of points which I was very happy with at the time. This wait is brutal though so I think I’d rather get the set sooner than save $35. Which would y’all rather have?

Support guaranteed I would get GROND in an email so hopefully that will be the case!

Storage for new store

What do you guys think of this for storage? Obviously the large bins aren’t very useful but the shallower bins seem like they could work well if I had 3D printed dividers in them. Worst case these would be good shelves for displaying LEGO. I have some of the 64 unit small storage as well for small pieces

First Ali order, part 2

Got a free extra Jango and dooku. Jet packs aren’t possible to put on minifigure necks but I’m not tripping. Also kinda wish pre-viszlas pauldron had print but he still looks good

Edit: did not get an extra Jango and Dooku for free , forgot I got one from two stores in case they were cooked

First Ali order, very satisfied

The malgus face print is pretty cooked but the copies of the og Lego version were sold out so thought I would take a chance. Super stoked on how good most of these look.

I ordered from 2 shops and these 20 arrived in only 6 days to California.

Bounty Hunter pursuit + purist Zam Wesell?

Was able to get the builds from bounty hunter pursuit, 10-15 pounds of bulk, bag of minifigure parts, and some nostalgic manuals for $75.

Tried to create a purist Zam from parts I have. Think I slightly prefer the black NVGs because it adds a brim and some depth when worn down. But the grey goggles look closer to the original minifigure from 2002. Would you be able to tell it’s supposed to be Zam if you saw it randomly? Lol

Love how many printed parts are on the speeders and the chrome headlights.

I hope they do this set justice on the recreation next year

Sand green MOC

Recently picked up a used lot that included set #75255 buildable Yoda.

Not a huge fan of how it looks built and don’t want to spend the time verifying ~1800 parts just to sell for $50 so decided to use him in some mocs (which I am new to building).

The tan and brown is easy. Plan to use them in either: terrain surrounding my newly acquired MBS Cantina, sand for my kashyyyk moc, or terrain for my Jabbas palace.

My issue is the sand green. For my kashyyyk moc I prefer using dark green. Really my only idea is to use it to build my own Acklay. Maybe it could be used in some of my other Mocs as little patches of dying grass?

Any ideas are appreciated!

Edit: I’ve been looking for inspiration online and realized Naboo/city of theed is literally tan and sand green so I might lean in that direction

Huge pick up

Offered $265 for used MBS Cantina and he added Tie Fighter pilot helmet, AT-TE, Red Five Luke’s helmet, buildable Yoda and AAT for free.

When I was going to pick up all I knew was that he told me he would give me “the rest” I was thinking it was just random small pieces and partial builds not all this.

Side note: the printed dish pieces for the tie fighter helmet are $55 on bricklink each. Surely they are up there with the most expensive single pieces in Star Wars LEGO? (Besides the quarter wall for darth maul bust

Auto sorting method

I have this idea that since AI scanning is getting close to good enough (Google lens, brickognize, Brickify etc), that you can use these tools for sorting bulk lots by a certain amount of pieces without sorting.

Basically 200-500 pieces would get scanned and logged by these tools, then stored into a large zip bag that is then labeled A1. This is done over an over. Instead of spending a crazy amount of time organizing you would just need to look in a bag with a couple hundred pieces.

Big downside to this that I see is incorrect piece or color being logged. I’ve seen videos of attempts at an automated sorting system and maybe this idea could incorporate a way to flip pieces so they are up right when they are scanned.

Do you think this method of sorting is possible now or in the near future? I feel like so much time and space would be saved.

myRewards credit card utilization

Just got my first credit card. My #1 goal is to build credit and will likely increase my limit in a few months of history ($1000 limit). I was told about the 30% utili recommendation in person and learned that is not an actual thing.

From what I understand there is a date where navy fed reports your utilization to credit bureau (statement closing date) and then after that your due date (when the balance must be paid off).

So I can use it how I like. Then pay down the balance to 2-10% utilization (what is the absolute best % for building credit?) by the statement closing date, then pay the rest before the due date?

Do the dates you actually pay balances matter at all?

I remember seeing utilization “has no memory” and only matters when you plan to open new lines of credit (which I’m not for at least 6-12+ months bc I saw it is bad to open new lines too soon) but elsewhere it says utilization is 30% of your credit score

Thank you so much for any help!

Late 80’s early 90’s space police/blacktron

I got a few space police/blacktron sets from a bulk lot and was wondering the best way to sell. One set, space lock-up isolation base #6955 has only sold 9 times on bricklink. I was planing on just listing on marketplace but I feel like I will either have to discount by like 40% from bricklink price or find another way to sell (like eBay?) to get closer to used 6 month average. Included pictures of the other sets I have as well. Any tips would be much appreciated!

Please be patient this line following car project was from my first ever robotics course in 2017 and I dropped out of CPE in 2019 bc of covid/mental health so my engineering brain has been mostly off since.

I’m planing on reusing an arduino mega 2560 for a LED/lighting Lego project. Planing on stacking longer technic bricks like in the last picture to create a grid of studs as pixels on a LED screen. With individual LEDs through each hole lighting each stud. End goal to display text on a screen (likely a word at a time because space is somewhat limited). I’ll figure out light spill when I get there if needed.

I’m going to disconnect the servo microcontroller and the RGB sensors and just work off the arduino but wondering the best way to do some basic tests to even see if the arduino still works.

My plan is to start by watchings videos on very basic use of an arduino like lighting an LED then moving forward but any project related tips or beginner mistakes to avoid would be much appreciated.

I remember how the breadboard functions but am trying to wrap my head around what I’ll end up using once I have a working circuit and software.

I will be buying LEDs that have longer legs but am going to practice with these old ones if they still work.

In the class we used C++, but I took most of my other courses in python (intro to programming, data structures etc) and am more familiar with the syntax. Should I just use python since I’ll likely be more familiar?

I’m new to off brand Lego and was wondering how to determine a good price for resold customs. Should I just ask the guy which brand? Do Chinese off brand figs look this good normally or are these likely from a dedicated custom company

The shadow arf looks especially good and I’m never in a million years spending that kind of money on the real. Also is it kinda cringe to buy a custom cloudy city boba? For some reason it is a little in my head but I’m keen on the white boba and Jango lmao
