Looking for brutal honest feedback about my Sewing Cute Pattern shop
Hi everyone,
I have been on Etsy for 3 months, selling digital sewing patterns to make cute little charms and have barely made any sales. I think my products are cute, but they don't seem to be touching people's hearts enough to convert into purchases. I think there may be something wrong with my products or the way I market them.
I'd like to hear your thoughts, even the most brutal ones. I really appreciate it.

Looking for brutal honest feedback about my Sewing Pattern shop
Hi everyone,
I have been on Etsy for 3 months, selling digital sewing patterns to make cute little charms and have barely made any sales.
Generally, I think my products are cute, but the sales are telling me that they don't seem to be touching people's hearts enough to convert into purchases.

*** First of all, let me answer the moderator's questions, so my post won't get removed from our page.
- What inspired me to make these products is that sewing, especially sewing little cute things, is my therapy. My life has been very messy and stressful, and this has brought back to me the smile, happiness, and peace I used to have when I was a kid. Thus, I think my products can somehow help others in the same way they did to me.
- Prior to opening my shop, I have studied the best-selling similar products on Etsy. I have learned that they are usually made for beginners and animal lovers. All of them use social media to promote their products, and it seems that it should go viral to generate sales.
*** My questions are:
- How can I make my products relatable or emotionally attractive to people, especially those who have pets, like cat, dog, or bunny, that turns into purchases?
- I see the similar best-selling products on Etsy are priced at $8-12 with occasional 15-25% discount. I priced my products at a lower price to make it more competitive, but risk losing the perceived value of my products. I have created a very detailed instruction so pricing it cheaply can make everyone think it's not well written. Could you give some advice on how to do proper pricing for a newly opened shop like mine?
I'd like to hear your thoughts, even the most brutal ones. I really appreciate it.
Thank you so much!
I made a small cat sipping orange juice by hand sewing felt
This is a short video on how I made this felt cat. Do you guys like the colour? I am thinking about some exotic colours like bright pink, neon purple, neon yellow to make it more fun and pop, but it could make it not look like a cat anymore. What do you guys think?
