I (F19) was (and still am) pretty sure that I have PCOS/PMOS, so last year I went to the doctor about it and they sent me for an ultrasound. They said there was no cysts, so I couldn’t have PCOS, despite having all the other symptoms. Fast forward a year later, I still have all these symptoms, and if anything, they’re getting worse.

What gets me down most is the inability to lose weight. I’m huge despite not eating much and exercising regularly, and honestly, I slip into depressive episodes over how I look, because no matter what I do, nothing seems to change. These episodes last weeks on end, and I can’t see any mental health services due to waiting lists. All my doctor did once my scan was clear was put me on birth control, which helped with the heavy periods for a few months, but now I’m back at square one because they’re just as bad as they were before.

When I heard that PCOS was being renamed to PMOS, I was thinking about going back to my doctor to have another appointment. But honestly, I feel like I’m just going to be told to lose weight, or up my birth control dose and throw nearly €100 down the drain for an appointment which won’t change anything.

I’m just wondering if this is a common occurrence. Are there many people here who had success when they went back to their doctors after their symptoms not changing for around a year? If it’s relevant, I’m living in Ireland.

so i’m catholic, was christened when i was a couple of weeks old. i was brought up saying prayers every morning and evening, and felt very close to my religion.

however, i went through the death of one of my friends about 10 years ago now. when this happened, i lost all faith, as i was only a child, and couldn’t understand how God could take someone so young and healthy from the world.

i’ve been doing a lot more reflecting recently, and i’d like to rekindle my relationship with religion and God, but i don’t know how. i feel so guilty, like i’ve neglected Him, and He might not take me back as a result.

Any advice is appreciated, thank you :)

looking to apply to be a picker since i’m moving to the uk and need a job for a while. i did picking for my old local shop at home and loved it, i just hated that there wasn’t enough orders that i could do it all day.
so if i apply as a picker in a big chain like Tesco will that cover my entire shift. or would i be expected to go on shop floor/checkouts/etc too? thanks

was watching mtt last night and i’ve just realised that we’ve never seen this on netflix. i don’t understand why netflix don’t show it, i thought it was entertaining to watch, unless it doesn’t exist anymore. but, i’d be surprised by that since the girls are much bigger public figures now since the netflix show and use of social media, etc.

i’m a college student in my third year doing education, and need a laptop as my ipad doesn’t work great for displaying content to whiteboards etc.
I was looking at a refurbed Dell Latitude 5320, i7-1185G7, 13.3", 16 GB, 512 GB SSD online, and it seems like it should be okay for me since i wouldn’t be using large applications, and it’s a pretty good price. just wondering if anyone has any experience with this laptop, or any other recommendations.
