Anyone have any videos with good, succinct examples of veganarchist/collective liberation ideas, that would be thought provoking for non vegan leftists?

I’m making music and I want a sample where someone says something that speaks to leftists/anarchists who may not understand the extreme importance of animal issues

Looking for weekly online support group calls. I am interested in NOCD groups, but you need to use one of their therapists to have access, and my therapist is not affiliated with NOCD.

Title! any other platforms that offer support groups?

I have heard some people talk about how they are able to do nursing homework at their job. What kind of job (preferably related to medicine) would this be possible in?

Hello,

Title! I work as a PCA and I love it but there is no free time during shift. Some people say they get homework done at work… what jobs would allow for this?

EDIT: sadly, it seems night shifts are the usual go to 💔 i do night shifts sometimes as a PCA, but I think I will try to avoid them during nursing school, because I don’t wanna mess up my sleep schedule (because I fear that that would mess up my brain and thus my schoolwork)
Thank you all for the replies I appreciate it 🙏🏻

anyone with ADHD timeblindness/procrastination do an ABSN?

I want to do a post-bacc ABSN but im scared of how much i struggle with time management. Im considering doing a traditional BSN instead, if I can get it shortened (as Im already doing the pre-reqs).

Weird question: anyone else get “Mild” mono, and then overwork themselves?

Hi,

I got mono starting last month, early June. Now it’s late July.

In early June, I had about a week of being mostly bed bound with a major sore throat and horrible headaches. A week after that, I had to go on tour with my band for three weeks. Got back home and immediately came back to work (I work as a PCA).

I’ve been doing alright overall, but the brain fog and fatigue have been really difficult. My mental health has gotten to dangerous lows, which it does not usually do. I’ve been super forgetful and always a little tired. Because my symptoms seem mild, and because I keep trying to do all my normal stuff like tour and work, I don’t think people take it seriously. Hell, I don’t think I’ve been taking it seriously enough.

It’s confusing though, because I see people talk about being bedbound for months. I was like, really sick for a week, and since then I’ve just felt fatigued (but functional) and far more stressed than usual. The mental health symptoms are really what are worrying to me.

Anyone else relate? Any advice? I’m trying to get more time off work. Cutting to like 2-3 shifts a week. I wanna sleep more too.

Throat is super inflamed. I can’t drop the show. How best can I avoid long term damage from this?

Does anyone know of any 2 year post bacc BSN in new england besides Regis or MGH?

Hello! Title really says it all. Need a post-bacc bsn, but the 12-18 month programs would be too much for what I got going on in life. Regis and MGH seems good but Im hoping there are more options -- open to 3 year programs also if those exist (not seen any in my search but maybe i mised them)

Forgot the name of a band… album art is like dark red with a blue face in the middle. I think it was melodic hardcore band from MA, like the emo type melodic hardcore (have heart/verse/defeater type)

Anyone know?

simple, shelf stable (2-3 weeks) vegan recipes that can be made in bulk?

my band is going on tour, we're a small band so money is tight. we dont wanna be eating out and losing all our money. I was thinking if I made shelf stable vegan recipes, these could be easily stored in our cars and give us a cheap source of food to bring on the road.

Ideas ive had thus far:

-trail mix (not huge on this because its super calorically dense which is great for bikes but not for everyday eating)

-homemade protein bars

any other ideas?

(USA) noob here; how do me and my friends make sure that we aren’t financially screwed if our van breaks down or crashes?

Title. We are a small band renting a 12-15 person van for a tour. We are looking to go with a big company, because we want a company that can help us out wherever we are in the country.

I’m worried, because I think the van rental companies may sneak stuff into the fine print, or go back on their promises, etc etc.

We’re scared of a situation in which we get into an accident and then end up in debt, or the company wiggles out on their promises and doesn’t replace our van, etc etc.

How do we avoid this? Are some companies more reputable than others? Any info is helpful, we’re new to this.

Thank you for ur time !

Vivieros de Castro Amerindian perspectivism

Hi,

I am curious about the notion of Amerindian perspectivism. I’ve heard it said that like in this perspective, all creatures view themselves as “humans”, and that they have a similar culture to human culture.

What I’m struggling with is how literal the interpretation of this is supposed to be.

Take the example of jaguars viewing themselves as “humans” and viewing human blood as beer.

In the Amerindian perspectivism viewpoint that Vivieros de Castro describes, would it be that the jaguars literally see themselves as human beings, and that they literally see themselves as drinking beer? ie, is it to say that from their subjective perspective, they would look down and see human hands, ans when they kill a human they are in their perspective picking up a beer to drink?

OR would it instead be that the jaguars see themselves as *people* but not *humans*, ie that they would still look down and see paws, and that the experience of drinking human blood would be just as tasty and trigger the same emotions as it would be for a human to drink beer but not that it would be a phenomenological identical experience?

Ykwim? Like how literal is it?
