KJU Medical Leave application process changed

more of a pain in the ass now. best to keep leaves <6 days unless it's serious.

Under 3 days - apply for leave on KJUSYS, submit a medical certificate attached with leave form to the class teacher.

All leave forms must be signed and submitted within 3 days (max 4) of coming back to college or strictly no leave.

rest is given in the pic and prolly sent on ur email.

Kristu Jayanti College Attendance Policy – Everything You Need to Know

For current & future potential freshers, a bit of a foreword regarding attendance.

 • <75% attendance gives you a semester back (to be cleared next year); however, you will be promoted to the next semester. This will have a huge effect on placements and your future career; don't take this lightly.
 • <60% attendance gives you a full year back
 • There is no way to dodge this requirement; medical leaves have to be signed and submitted within 3 days of coming back to college, with medical certificate, signed by the class teacher & HOD and submitted to the science block reception (not admin block student welfare, as she may reject your leave for no reason)

I myself almost got a semester back as i had gotten a fracture and was unwell for 1 & a half month, and my medical leave was not being approved. I wish i had known the process a bit earlier. Attendance also carries marks for each subject, so forget about bunking classes.

You will be briefed about this thoroughly during orientation 😊, see you on campus.

Additional Information about a few B.Com Courses

Any BCom specialisation that does not feature a professional course (e.g. , ACCA, Professional accounting (CA/CS), Investment Banking, Strategic Finance, IB & Fin, Business Analytics)

is just a B.Com. general with a different name, e.g.

 • B.Com. Specialisation: Accounts, Finance and HR
 • B.Com. Business Process Management
 • B.Com. Logistics and Supply Chain Management
 • B.Com. Blockchain and Fintech
 • B.Com. Banking, Financial Services and Insurance
 • B.Com. Enterprise Resource Management (SAP Integrated)

all these courses are basically BCom general, something to keep in mind while joining & not to be distracted by fancy names. most of these courses are newly added as well.

the curriculum is poor in the above courses, and there is little placement support.

What happens if you don't get allotted in the first round?

I know you might be considered for round 2 & 3, but my friend said there is a new rule that unallotted people will only be considered for spot rounds now?

(Repost of deleted post under rule 4, wording in CSAS UG bulletin is ambiguous, see comment)

Idea of simulated ranks for B.Com (H) & Prog

For UR only AIRs under 1000 can get into BCom in NC at DU, according to the seat matrix, there are approx 800 general seats at NC colleges(incl. program). should be helpful for editing the preference list when ranks get displayed.

No electives in college

most other colleges have electives; here the college decides what subject would be the best for thousands of students to take. you end up having subjects which you are not interested in and have no option to change.

Is Kristu Jayanti University, Banglore a good uni for Bsc Psychology?

Hey everyone,

I’m considering Kristu Jayanti University, Bangalore for BSc Psychology and wanted honest opinions from people who’ve studied there or know about it.

For context, I scored 90% in my boards with 93 in Psychology and I’m also actively involved in NCC. I recently got rejected from Christ University, and while I do have strong chances of getting into colleges in Kerala, I’m honestly not very keen on studying there.

Tips for Juniors Entering 11th

take applied math; if your school doesn't offer it, take core. Trust me, math is imperative and you can't get anywhere in life without it, even if you didn't score well in 10th. commerce w/o Math is a deadly combo; you are setting yourself up for failure.
