Picked up the new stream light V/IR light yesterday

Just tested it last night, IR is bright enough to light up 2/3 of my 2 acre back yard, it is about 110 yards long. It’s bright enough for IDing what you’re looking at, I would be able to id something as small as a skunk. White light is very bright, but is a more focused beam. The lock out switch works well and the rotating head is a cool feature. The only real drawbacks are it is big and double the weight of a surefire scout 650 pro light, 8.8oz for the streamlight. Only one power setting on both white light and IR. Definitely a ln outdoor light or large indoor space (warehouse, etc). Slightly cheaper than Surefire, but much brighter.

Brake up grade

Thinking of upgrading the factory brakes on my Salsa horsethief. It has tekro Orion 4p on it. Main reason is I am a heavier rider and they seem to be not held in high regard. Also the are suppose to be hard to bleed properly. Can I only up grade the front or should I do both. I can go up to a 203mm rotor in the front, the rear is limited to 180.

So I did a thing to my STIHL ms362c.

Swapped out the stock muffler for an undaunted cover. Haven’t cut with it, but did start it to hear it. Thing sounds like a dirt bike from my youth with the throttle wide open!

Added to the 300blk collection.

Can’t decided if I should go 1-8 lpvo, red dot or throw my 300blk acog on it.

Update on VP9cc, back from HK

So after close to 4 weeks with HK they found nothing wrong. I took it to the range yesterday and but around 80 rounds through it and had 0 malfunctions. Trigger didn’t even give a whisper of a malfunction. Who knows why the trigger locked up the first range time. I am planning to take it back in the next few days and give it another work out.

First mag (12rd), gun ran flawless. Every mag after that it would develop a dead/ stuck trigger. I would depress the safety shoe and pull the trigger and it would travel about 1/3 to half way and stop. It was like it hit a wall. Tried no mag, other mag and nothing. Time for it to go to HK. Feels the same as if you don’t cock the gun and try to pull the trigger.

Feels very good in the hand, though I need to figure out something for the grip, the sides are as slick as a 70’s pickup line. Front and back are decently stippled, not the sides. I also stream light tr7 is too long to mount. 1913 lug sits just in front of the pic rail.
