What is your salary/household income, net worth and then house value?

I’ve seen people at either end of the spectrum - with most net worth in house equity vs living in a cheaper place but millions in ISA/GIAs. So am just curious really.

If you answer, please include any house equity in net worth calc for consistency. Thanks!

Recommended first cycles/classes?

Just got my Bike+ today and am raring to go, although quite overwhelmed with the choice of classes! Honestly I’m not sure where to start.

Do you have any recommendations for classes/instructors to start off with? Something gentle/low key ideally!

How to soften acrylic school jumper?

My daughter’s school jumpers have changed supplier and are now very stiff acrylic material.

Any tips on how to soften these? They feel scratchy and stiff to the touch, my daughter is uncomfortable wearing them.

Best extra curricular activities you’ve done?

Looking to get my 4yo girl involved in some new activities outside of nursery/school - what have you guys done and what were hits with your kids?

Contemplating tennis, dance, stagecoach type of things but am I missing some good ones? Shes done rugbytots and little kickers in the past which were lovely.

Shampoo/conditioner transition from baby to adult

I feel ridiculous asking this question but at what age did your kids use adult or regular shampoo/bath products vs the baby shampoo?

4yo girl has long hair, we are using baby shampoo still and I don’t feel like it’s washing her hair enough at this stage

Surprise breech baby?

Had my daughter earlier this week and at 6cm dilated it was discovered she was breech. Delivered via cat2 section an hour later. This was after a two day induction, if relevant.

I’m curious how often this happens - surprise or undetected breech babies? If you had a breech baby, when did you find out?

Maintenance checklist for apartment

I’ve seen some of these monthly/quarterly/annual jobs lists for houses but would love to know if anyone has something for apartments?

Given most of the exterior work might be done by the management company, likely less “clean the gutters” and more “service the boiler” type of thing.

Trying to get into good habits as a newish flat owner - thanks in advance!

Books that have improved your life/career/knowledge?

Currently on mat leave and would like to add some new reads to my kindle! Specifically for self improvement, general knowledge etc. I work in finance if that’s relevant and have a poor understanding of politics/history so suggestions there would be good.

Just finished Executive Presence by Sylvia Ann Hewlett and enjoyed it - however before that was reading Brandon Sanderson so if you feel strongly about a great fiction book, would love to hear that too…

I love the name Charlotte. What are potential nicknames for the name?

Charlie, Lottie and Ottie - wondering if there are any I haven’t thought of?

I’m trying to remind myself that I don’t need a new car or a bigger house even though I can afford it and everyone around me seems to be doing it. I really enjoy saving and investing but sometimes I have moments of weakness.

Does anyone have stories of being tempted to “keep up with the joneses” and being happy they didn’t stretch themselves in the end? Anyone upgrade and are happy they did? What sort of things were you tempted to buy?

Good/bad experiences welcome
