Just rewatched all of it and I forgot how emotional the last episode is

One of the things I love about this show is its sincerity - the way the characters support each other and love each others stupid jokes. But I forgot about Al confessing how much he loves Sophie and I forgot about the wedding and all that stuff in season 3.. it’s so lovely and it truly is a real crooner of a show

It’s funny watching backlash happen exactly parallel to streaming release dates

So you didn’t watch it opening week? Or second? Or third? Ok - but you did watch internet discourse over those weeks, allowing hype to grow internally as you still refused to go to the theatre.

Only months later, at home, probably half on your phone, did you finally watch the movie. And NOW it’s “overhyped”?

Maybe try watching a movie when it comes out instead. This happens with every successful horror movie - everyone flocks to the cinema opening week, love it - because it’s fresh and new and exciting. And then months later the ones who couldn’t be bothered going but have soaked up hype for months sit back on their couch, phone in hand and get halfway through and type out a Reddit post going “this was mid, I don’t get the hype”…

Came across this in the shop yesterday - why wasn’t I aware of this! It’s actually good as well.

Hello, I’m writing a horror movie about an SFX artist - would anyone be up for fact checking/critiquing it?

Been working on is for a while, it’s almost finished, but I’ve never made a movie and I don’t work in SFX, so it would be great to have someone who does work in that field take a look and just tell me if anything is wildly wrong

“Thank you for your interest in X actor, the film needs to be fully funded to be considered.” “Thank you for reaching out, we only consider projects that have a full cast attached”

The catch 22 of this business is nothing short of hilarious.

I know that really I just need a manager or agent to bridge this gap, but it doesn’t stop it being funny.

So in order to fully fund a project, I need actors attached. But in order to attach actors, I need to be fully funded.

Got it.

Edit: why is every one of my replies downvoted? I’m just trying to respond to questions…

Episode 4 of Widow’s Bay is one of my favourite things I’ve seen recently (no spoilers)

Just great! So heartbreaking and a little cringe, Kate O’Flynn absolutely shines, it’s one of the best episodes of tv I’ve seen in ages. The whole show so far has been excellent but this is a real standout.

I’ve enjoyed each episode but the latest one felt like they really locked in.

Emma Sidi and Hannah especially shone, wasn’t a dud skit amongst them, great musical pieces, properly laughed out loud, this episode felt like what SNL UK should be - not that the others weren’t good, but there were multiple skits in earlier episodes that didn’t quite land, but I thought each one was really great in this one.
