Prayer group in front of On The Border?

Anyone know whats going on with the group standing in front of On the Border on the corner of Broadway? They had a couple of flags and a lot had what seemed like rosaries. There seemed to a cowboy/head leader at the front of the group. Just curious who they were, what they were doing.

Favorite artists you’ve found accidentally through Tv/Movies?

Something I’ve been thinking about lately is that a number of my favorite artists I found completely by accident because something I was watching used a song in a scene or for end credits. I’m curious to know what artists you love/listen to regularly now thanks to random use in media. Some of my favorites I found are:
Timber Timbre- Our Flag Means Death used ‘Run From Me’ for end credits
I Monster- Severance used ‘Daydream in Blue’ for end credits
King Crimson- ‘21st Century Schizoid Man’ was sampled in a Kanye West song I overheard one day (I know it wasn’t from a tv/movie but I’m keeping it)
King Woman- I Saw the TV Glow features the artist performing in a club
Dead Man’s Bones- The Conjuring used ‘In the Room Where You Sleep’ for end credits. I liked them before this but that’s how my friend found them so I’m including it.

Whatchyall’ got?

Edit: video game discoveries count too!!

Moved into a new place

Not everything questionable in the place, but a few of my favorites. Used to be a transmission shop, got converted into a house awhile back. Sometimes you just gotta admire some old school handiwork, I guess.

I made a lil timelapse of a backing I did

A super simple backing order, aside from having to put brackets further inside, it was a really easy job. I just really enjoy watching the process. My phone died before I could finish wrapping it though >:(

I recently found old videos of a gorgeous spider friend I had

Like the title says, when I lived further in the country we had tons of insect friends around. I was clearing out my photos when I found a bunch of videos I’d taken of a spider that lived in our garden. I may post more of them if people are interested

Anyone here see the Nightman Cometh Live when they were performing it?

I just bought the early seasons of sunny on DVD and s4 has a taping of their live version of Nightman Cometh. It’s such a fucking awesome watch and makes me wildly nostalgic. I want to know if any of you jabronis were around at the time to catch a show when they were happening. Aside from that, later dudes. S you in your A’s, don’t wear a C, and J all over your B’s.

Tyler cleaning services

Hey there, I’m looking for a solid cleaning service around the Tyler area for a move-out clean. I’m aware of Merry Maids and a couple of the other bigger companies around here. It’s not a huge job and I’m not trying to spend a ton, I’m hoping to find local lesser known businesses or individuals that provide a cleaning service. Any info provided would be super appreciated, thanks guys!

Made my partner a birthday card

No AI was used to make anything, I created the image in photoshop with regular photos. Really happy with how this card turned out though. I wanted it to be obnoxiously glittery and adorable, and I think I hit the target.

▲ 5 r/pasta

I visited Italy earlier this year and had one of the best pasta dishes I’ve ever eaten. It was a very unique flavor of lemon, fresh tomato and a touch of basil. I was able to track down the ingredients and steps of the dish but it’s very parred down and translated over so I feel like I’m missing some key steps. If anyone could clarify what exactly “tomato extract” would be or could break down what the recipe is asking me to do I’d be insanely grateful. The simplest dishes seem to be the most difficult to achieve and I don’t wanna ruin this dish. Thanks!
