Owning one of my dream cars

Picked up my base cab 997.1 in January, was always a dream of mine to own a 911. I graduated college exactly one year ago, and was very very fortunate and blessed to get a great job in tech before I even graduated and even better one after. My first big purchase when I graduated was a used Tesla model s (with a terrible auto loan) that my wife now drives. Well anyways we needed a second car and my budget was only $25-30k. I found this 997.1 with 148,500 miles, with an immaculate maintenance history, previous PCA ownership, at just a hair over $25k. I was originally shopping for a 996, as I grew up in my mom’s 986 Boxster.

After some negotiation and walking away from the sale I ended up taking her home for just hair over $21,000. I then had it serviced and inspected and spent about 9k on preemptive service and some new tires that it desperately needed as well as some things that needed attention (coolant expansion tank was leaking, crank case air oil separator had failed) . She has 156k miles now as of March, and is my daily driver, I love everytime I’m driving her. Yes I am afraid of bore score, but I take my precautions, so far I don’t see any signs of it. (also learned to drive stick in this car on my way back from the dealer lol). One day I’ll own a turbo of this generation or even a 991, but for now this is a dream come true, and I am grateful to get to enjoy this with my beautiful wife in our youth everyday, moving to California soon so hoping to make even more beautiful memories in her.

Hont Review

New piece from Hont came in. ZF Tudor BB54 Lagoon Blue, ordered exactly one week and 2 days ago, it arrived in 9 days. Bought from his in stock album, qc took two days, shipping took exactly one week. Communication was blunt but all in all this has been the fastest and best experience with any TD. Also he threw in and LV cardholder for me of which I actually have the genuine version so that was funny. I ordered with andiot and he took one month to get me my package and communication wasn’t much better than hont, also was a lot more expensive. Also have an order in with Miro that had promised 2-3 day QC and he took two weeks to get me qc, still waiting ong jt. It’s a VSF DJ41. My next purchase will be with Hont for sure, had an amazing experience overall. Thank you Hont!

Collection at 22

I work in sales engineering and travel >60% of the year for work for presentations and events. Recently been spoiling myself with designer colognes and niche fragrances, used to only get dupes and clones. Right now my favorite for the summer are Krigler 2124 Sierra Vista (The most expensive fragrance I have ever bought I my entire life but wow, it is worth it), ADP Colona Line (specifically club), and of course imagination. I think I’m gonna stop buying for a while now and just enjoy and use what I have. I would say I really love freshies based on what I have here. What do you guys think. Any favorites in here? Also been decanting my favorites and especially the ADP Colognes for work and travel.

Hey guys, I’ve been working on a small project and wanted to get some honest feedback from people who are actually into fragrances.

I built a simple web app that takes your collection and turns it into a kind of personal fragrance dashboard. The idea is you tell it what you own, the kind of situations you’re in, and the way you want to come across, and it organizes everything by season, setting, and use case based on where you live. It can also suggest what to wear for a specific moment and recommend new fragrances that fit your taste.

Right now it’s pretty early, but I’m thinking of adding a spray tracker so you can log how many sprays you used and where you applied them, then see patterns over time like what you actually reach for in different weather or situations.

Here’s what the mockup looks like so far:

Would really appreciate any thoughts, whether it’s features you’d want, things that feel unnecessary, or anything that would make this genuinely useful day to day. I’d love to turn this into a freemium product if people find it valuable.

Thanks 🙏

This just solidified me wanting to continue to buy reps, though Andiot and others have the same AD wait times nowadays lol. Still on a wait list at my AD for a titanium YM though.

Interesting… I might get some flack for this but to me this is just aventus but harsher, more oakmossy, stronger, more mature, and spicier. It smells like a CDNIM I had a few years ago that was a bit stronger than it should’ve been. It drys down more fruity and oakmossy than Aventus, and definitely projects way harder, a fragrance I would use very sparingly because it is very heavy on projection and sillage.

Box was luxurious and came with a little postcard thing which was cool. Overall it smells like high quality ingredients on the same level as Creed, Tom Ford, etc. i would label this as an evil Aventus or a winter Aventus.

I like the way it smells on my skin and dries down better than Aventus, much more sweet fruity and oaky.
