Out of curiosity, I decided to take a red flag test, & this was the very first question.

Emotional attraction flags #2

I made more -emotional flags. I may do the aemotional attractions too in the next post.

Can someone make a recipro version of this flag?

So a while ago, someone turned Lovelessness into a spectrum on Tumblr, and with that, a few aspec labels were made. However, it was only like 5 & the rest don't exist yet. It was also confirmed by one of the initiators that the Recipro version doesn't exist so far. (Slide 2 is a preferable recipro-flag use)

Here's a link to the Loveless wiki with some already existing aspec labels:

Some memes on fictophobes & their obsession with claiming all relationships w rl people are both sided. CW: Kinda venty, so I'll put spoilers.

I thought of this like at 1:40 AM yesterday, so I quickly made some memes.

One more artwork to the previous post

The previous post (from 4 months ago but idc)

I mentioned there that I had 1 more character left, but didn't make her, as I couldn't think of a design, plus I find it easier to draw 2 characters at once, which wasn't possible quite here..

However, I unexpectedly added another character, tho since she'll be figuring out in the next story at some point as well, I didn't include her within this series of posts.

I would also have posted this earlier but I was playing Living the Dream instead, so..🤭

Emotional attraction symbol+flags

I made these like 3 days ago, but considering I didn't have access to my laptop, I didn't want to waste my phone drive space, so I had to wait until I got home.

I saw flags+tertiary, or even romance symbol flags, so I decided to make some for emotional attraction as well.

These are for the basic attraction labels. If someone wants the png symbol of the..idk how it's called for some other terms, I can provide it via link.

u/darkseiko — 27 days ago

Not sure how to title this, but it's not the final version. (Mockup is the 1st flag, the rest are examples or/and comparisons)

Basically, I wanna create the polysexual version of terms like Aphrodite Lesbian, Eros Gay, Apollo Pan (image 2), Jupiter Omni, etc. I cant just think of the transition colors between the 3rd pink & 1st green.

I also based the flag on the Apollo Pan one, cause I'd say it has the best design right next to Jupiter Omni (*not included in this post*), but I just don't like the transition colors.

Plus the og author of these flags has abandoned their Tumblr account in like 2022/23 & one of their last posts was someone asking for the Poly version. However, they never made it afterwards & I just can't seem to pick the correct colors.

So I'm asking for some fixing for the 3rd & 4th stripes. But if it didn't fit the overall vibe after that, maybe the whole saturation of the whole flag could be changed completely, cause I'm just not a flag maker.

I noticed that I shared ficto symbols, but never the actual symbols with flags of the gender they represent.

Reminded that these work on the same level as..idk, let's say if someone shares their gender identity flag. Or if someone made an attraction-related meme. (I'd share an example, but it's quite suggestive, so I don't think I can share it.)

Posts with symbols only: Part 1 (Man, Woman, Nb/Neutral), Part 2 (Trans binary)

Btw, I've been thinking of making symbols for Otherkin/Alterhuman & f/o, but I just cant think of a symbol that could fit.

Can someone make an alternative Tertiary flag?

I need it for smth (I then want to alternate it into another flag), but considering there are no pretty tertiary flags, I can't do it yet.

I don't have any specific criteria or wishes. Perhaps only that it should be just stripes & no symbols.

Types of attractions: Ficto edition [V1]

Btw, I divided the attractions based on whether they're physical or emotional. So I'm not exactly claiming that, for example, platonic attraction is a subset of the romantic one.

Most of them would belong under the Tertiary attraction instead, but considering the Ficto aversion of it doesn't exist yet (& I don't like the actual Tertiary attraction flag either), I can't even put it there. Plus, the attraction type has over like 25 different subsets & last time I checked, only 2-3 (besides the already mentioned ones) ficto versions exist, so I can't completely share them.

So, some explanations for the lesser-known attractions:

Fictoqueerplatonic: Interest in having qpr relationships with fictional characters, the attraction is also described as more intense than platonic attraction, but not as strong as alterous.

Fictoalterous - More intense than platonic attraction, but less than romantic.

Fictofamilial - Familial attraction (e.g. parental)

Fictoattractional - When you're anattractional (feeling no attraction) towards others, but feel something towards characters

Fictolove - When you're loveless towards others, but feel love towards characters.

Also, if I manage to find all the attraction types, then I'll share a Mega/nz folder with all of the Ficto flags.

Fray Sex Repulsed stance

A stance where an individual is repulsed by the thought of sex in a romantic relationship/partnership.

They can still be repulsed by sex in general or can be fine with it in other contexts, but the strongest/primary repulsion will always root towards sex in partnerships.

I asked about this type of stance a few months ago, but I didn't get any response, so I ended up creating the flag & term myself.

And it exists, since I've been cringing on the way aphobes creep on aces, or people, who are not exactly positive about the act & basically say shit like "That's gonna change once you get a partner", hinting that people should have their stance changed by a partner & suddenly start tolerating it.

I used "Fray", cause romantic relationships are usually considered the closest type of relationships & the appeal of the act basically fades away if one imagines/or is in a partnership.

Edit: If you don't like this post, just mind your own business instead of downvoting me. Learn to ignore things you don't like instead of downplaying someone's hard work.

Apothidomestic flag

Recently I came across the term "Domestic attraction", which made me really sick so I instantly looked for an aspec version. And luckily, there was, so I made the Apothi version of it.

Domestic attraction is basically about wanting to experience domestic activites like cooking, cleaning, raising gremlins & taking care of a household with another person.

And Apothidomestic is being repulsed or/and disgusted by these actions.

Edit: Not sure what I'm getting downvoted for; you are free to ignore my post instead of lowering its score.

Some Ficto-related flags I found #4

I found another set of ficto or f/o-related flags. Some are primarily for yumes, but I believe they could be used for fictos too.

Something from yesterday & one from a previous week. I love being shat on by a hypocrite over complete nonsense 🥰

[CW: S/H, Abuse mentions, Discrimination] One more post about this weirdo, since after some days passed, it's gotten obscure. And these are just the minimum. There was 1 more image I wanted to add but I couldn't find it.

1st image, cause it wouldn't fit in the description; 1. That could apply to other couple types as well.

  1. What exactly is considered "male gaze" design? Ridiculously oversized body parts & lack of clothes? Unnatural body proportions? Cause at some point, people get accused of "sexualizing" characters just by giving them the boldest things like larger chests, sensual clothes. As if actual people didn't have or wear these types of features.

4....Just...what?

  1. This is pretty tricky, as...most people who've been traumatized by the gender they're into continue dating regardless of the risks. (And I mean others, not changing to fictional individuals.) I find it hypocritical too; however, this mf only applies the logic towards canonically traumatized characters, not real people. So I could, at some point, agree, but he just doesn't seem to see the parallel with reality.

  2. Again, this could apply to anyone.. And also, just cause there's a crush doesn't mean it's always gonna be a better case. The character might be crushing on someone who doesn't even like them that way or could be straight-up abusive.

  3. Most devs really don't care about self-shippers or fictos, especially the larger corporations that own the characters. But it's different with smaller teams or even individuals, and it's often the same. As a dev or creator myself, I wouldn't be exactly thrilled if someone shipped themselves w one of my characters that already had some sort of relationship, or their identity wouldn't correspond with the shipper, but to say they're unwelcome to consume the media, is a stretch.

And then it's just outright stupid otter nonsense.. Like, people don't have telepathy to predict what the devs will be up to with the characters & most of them won't even give their characters sexualities at all. And apologize for what? For loving a character that turned out to be a lesbian? 🤣

2nd image: Talking about crushes on sapphic characters, which caused you to harm yourself for whatever reason, and then comparing the guilt to fucking racism or n*zi ideology, is fucking wild.

3rd: This was from an ask, where someone was basically just pointing out the obscurity & suggested that the ficto attraction is natural & on the ace spectrum. And not only did Blud do damage control, but now he's invalidating ace men in general (?).

5th: I don't exactly move around in dating sims, but he forgot that not all dating sims are the same. Cause the ones he mentions that take place during high school are primarily Japanese. & while I don't wanna seem to excuse questionable things or talk from experience, as I'm not japanese nor have I ever lived there, but I've read this in one thread months ago about the same topic: High school seems to be the last exciting part in their life, cause pretty much everything after that is just a bunch of exhaustion after exhaustion. He should do some research about their working culture.

Of course, if the female characters are younger than 18, then that's icky.

I'm not really sure about the male characters part, cause he might be talking about the dating sims from the west. Though he forgot that quite a lot of media targeted towards women have the opposite issue: a young female lead & a way older male love interest.

And why did he end it that way? "Don't consume dating sims, just get a way-toned-down & non-exciting relationship you have to constantly put effort into, instead of a one-time game-playing experience?"

Also the image that I didn't find was an ask where it came off as him supporting the harassment of male self- shippers, or something.

u/darkseiko — 2 months ago

Wild post I just saw. And while they may have a point in some sense, telling them to "get over the character", is just fucking weird.

Btw, the kind of people they're referring to, don't even consider themselves as ficto (cause oop's clearly talking about incels who often like barely legal girl characters but still hope for a real woman).

Also the blatant sexism & "only minorities are allowed to selfship/be ficto!!", is just outrageous.

Edit: The only person who liked that post, is anti straight male selfshipper & in one of their posts is tagged with "anti incel" & "proship"..like..how can you be anti incel but be okay with proshipping? 😭

Callisexual redesign

Meaning: When you're not sure if you feel sexual or aesthetic attraction

Flags used: Bg - aesthetic attraction, Heart - sexual attraction

I saved this term cause I wanted to use it for my ocs, but then I didn't exactly like the flag, so I combined 2 flags that actually show what they're supposed to depict.

Something on anti-fictos & their dating "standards".

Btw, this technically applies to any non-ficto & anyone whose attraction targets are other people, but I suppose that was apparent. These statements are just meant to point out the ridiculousness of those who hate on us, just cause they're under the impression everyone owes real people attraction.

If you happen to get offended, then that's on you, since at some point, you're a part of the majority, which hates everyone who doesn't fit their x-normative standards, and just cause you may be both at the same time doesn't mean nobody's allowed to criticize the hypocrisy.

And if, for some reason, someone decides to complain that I'm being "harsh".. Do you really think people like that are nice to fictos? Do you think the majority of them react to the term like, "Oh, I don't understand that term, could you explain it?... Ah, thanks for the explanation. I learnt something new today."? No, they usually react that the term doesn't exist, that it's fake & call us degenerates. So they don't deserve any niceness at all.

Plus, within the last & this year, there were at least 4 different people, who, while claiming they're curious, wrote it in the most offensive way, and besides, like 1 person, none of them apologized for sounding like an aphobe.

I also copypasted this from my Tumblr blog, so besides some changes, it's completely unchanged.

I wrote this since I'm becoming fed up w all the normative nonsense & with the growth of people dating AI partners & objects & how people respond to it.. And they often use the same arguments as fictophobes:

"It's one-sided.", "You can choose how the relationship will go."

By which not only do they excuse human unpredictability, even if relationships w others can scar you for life, but also by that they're saying that they treat others as temporary (since after a breakup, they'll say "Oh, someone else will come" or "Just get another person") & that dating should feel like going to a war? Though at the same time, according to them, dating is this flawless & sunshine-like experience that will always be perfect & never go wrong, since people are definitely worth the drive & no one's naturally terrible.

Even though the standards of non-fictos are essentially just bare minimums that should always be automatic, not a requirement. Such as kindness, treating their partner as an equal, being there for them whenever they feel sad, basic gestures like gift giving, spending time with them, loyalty, basic hygiene, or even a simple...getting along with your partner? Oh, and also, if they're the type who claim "looks don't matter," they will actively shame you if you don't take anyone you don't find appealing.

Cause I suppose you wouldn't want to be with someone who treats you like shit & you have nothing in common with? Or do you admit that the same kind you're praising is morally grey in nature & that you can never know what they're capable of?

So you basically just hope that your partner will be a decent person who won't leave you in shambles & ruin you. Yet they will still lie to others about how rl dating is flawless, but sure.

Getting mad at fictos for going for their f/os, since you're just copying that we have lesser chances in our relationships failing & that we can easily avoid things like abuse, cheating, etc.
