why is samsung video player louder?
even after turning off audio normalizations and dolby atmos, samsung video player plays videos louder (and more ambient) than vlc or mpv. how's that?

since i have google (gemini within, along with other major google apps) disabled, there isn't much to look forward to in the next update. i have gms enabled tho since some core features depend on it so the only choice is to harden it privacy/security wise, considering my device supports neither grapheneos nor lineage!
does it still happen in one ui 8.5, after long inactivity or rotating screen (in games especially)?
it just keeps getting worse and worse, no app lags like that much on my phone!
(samsung weather 1.7.23.8, galaxy a15 5g, one ui 8.0)
i've wondered like forever why the volume is much lower while playing media in vlc than that in my default (samsung) media players. then i just found this setting and turns out it enables vlc to take advantage of built-in surround sound tech for modern phones, and now it's like much better volume and ambience!
and i don't want any play games account btw!
so i use vic on android, and my device basically has an 8bit display so i try to get files 8bit (audio 5.1 tho, i find that somewhat better than 2ch audio even with same bitrate) but was curious:
should i leave it all on dithering and move to 10bit files?
what are those modes (in the screenshot) and how do those compare with each other, i mean what do u use and why?
