Got this today - 1936 Dot .25¢

This arrived in the mail today, a 1936 Dot .25¢ ICCS certified. Was looking for one of these for a while. A nice addition to the collection!

It was always a good day when the Sears Wish Book arrived

Who remembers the Seats Wish Book? It was always one of the highlights of my childhood on the day the Sears Wish Book arrived on the doorstep. I would eagerly look through it and dream about all the things I would like to have. I always wanted one of those race car sets. The sets they would show in the Wish Book were always these huge elaborate dream race car tracks with underpasses, overpasses, banked turns etc. When I got one it had 8 sections, I could make a circle lol, but I loved it just as much as the big fancy ones that were pictured in the catalogue.

I remember my mother yelling at me one year because by the time she finally had a chance to look through the Wish Book I already had it dog-eared, stick stuff all over the pages, torn pages, etc.

Oh the memories of the Sears Christmas Wish Book!

Do you remember it, and what are your memories of it?

Has anyone here hired Holland & Sons?

I own a minihome that needs some work done. I'm getting an estimate from Holland & Sons. Has anyone here had work done by Holland & Sons? If so, how was the experience? Did they do a good satisfactory job? Any complaints or anything I should be aware of? Would you recommend them?

I just want assurance that my money will be well spent with Holland & Sons.

Any input anyone may have would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

▲ 6 r/ostomy

A few hours ago I developed terrible cramps, and my stoma is larger than normal, but nothing is coming out of it.

I last passed something through it about 5 hours ago, and I'm worried that I may have a blockage. I've had my stoma for about 15 months now, and never had a black age. Hopefully this isn't the first time.

For those who have a colostomy and have had a blockage, what was it like? What did it feel like? How long did you wait before going to the Emergency Room? What signs should I look for to confirm if it is a blockage?

EDIT: Went to the Emergency Room, turns out I have a bowel blockage. It required an NG tube to decompress. Decompressing usually takes 24 hours.

They are hoping that after the decompressing the bowel blockage will correct itself. If not, surgical correction will be required.
