There was this foundation of a house built in the 50s near where I used to live. It was allegedly still up until around 2018 but it got really vandalized and the city tore it down. In the summer of 2021 I spent hours every day on the weekends down there because it was the only space I felt like I had to myself.

At some point there was a tiktok trend where people would write stuff on cheap dinner plates and smash them on the ground. I found pieces from maybe 20 plates. The house's foundation has a retaining wall that wasn't torn down and people would put graffiti there and stuff. This is what the plates were smashed and I spent a long time cleaning up the clay shards. Not even really because I was annoyed at the mess, I was just bored.

Probably spent around 10-15 hours just picking plate shards out of the dirt. Some of the shards had writing in sharpie on them and I separated those out. It was maybe three or four plates with writing, I think they were written by some high school girls. They talked about their parents and relationships and their annoyances. It seemed like fairly personal material and I got rid of all of the plate shards after all of that. The interesting thing for me was fitting the pieces together and separating out the different plates. Like I'd love to go through a box of old pottery sherds that are actually of historical significance and attempt fitting them together. Might not be the most engaging task for some but I could probably do it all day.

The foundation of that house had a gravel road leading up to it. I would walk down to the area and stay for a few hours. One time a baby deer took the spot I liked to sit at and I didn't notice until I was right next to it. It ran off but I think its mom was nearby. I remember the occasion well because around 30 minutes later a truck pulled into the area. At first I tried to be non-confrontational but then I changed my mind and ran away downhill to the public trail.

After that point the foundation of that house didn't feel safe anymore. Whenever I went down that gravel road I could see a truck parked there and it felt like I lost a sanctuary.

I moved out like two months later because I was stressed the fuck out living with my parents (they're good parents I just needed space away from them) even when I visit over the week I can only stay a few days before getting antsy and stressed out. I think I just feel stuck there. idk is this a journal entry or something? info dump over

Sometimes I have dreams where I can't communicate at all like a mental block or I can move my mouth but all that comes out is unintelligible. Its very annoying and I'm wondering how any of you would describe not being able to communicate as well as you want irl since I know there's a lot of external speech aid use here. Like as far as not being understood for me it's mostly people complaining that I'm mumbling or not hearing me so I have to repeat myself two or three times, or I can't find the word I want. I guess I'm wondering what the disconnect between what you want to say and what comes out is like mentally for anyone reading. I hope this isn't a weird question
