My hyperx cloud jet dual wireless headset’s microphone sounds muffled, please help me make it not sound muffled

Hello, i bought a new pair of hyperx cloud jet headphones today, and am using them and the attached microphone on discord. My friends say i sound muffled and i cannot figure out why. I have a broken audio jack lodged into my computer’s headphone jack, could that perhaps be the cause of the issue? How do i make my headset’s audio sound clearer. Thank you in advance
