Truly at a loss - 3 year old keeps getting out of bed

My 3 year old has been in his own room since he was 7 months, and in a floor toddler bed since 2.5. Until the last few weeks, he’s stayed in his bed the whole night and never got up. However, in the last few weeks, he’s gotten up every night constantly. For many different reasons. Every night we put him to bed, and he’ll chill for a bit but then get up to come see us. Can be once or sometimes up to 6+ times. Various reasons (I want socks, I want a hug, I can’t find X plushy, or just not wanting to sleep).

Overnight sometimes he gets up because he has a nightmare. Since he’s potty trained though, he wakes us to go pee even if he has a pull up (we potty trained beginning of Sep).

He goes to bed around 8, doesn’t fall asleep until at least 845 sometimes 9. Wakes in the morning between 6-7. One nap between 1-3, often just an hour at most.

We’ve tried everything. We try to stay quiet and not exciting and bring him back to bed everytime. If he wants a hug, we tell him we can give one but only in bed cause I feel heartless saying no. I want to be more harsh but he’ll just start crying loudly and he shares a wall with his 8 month old brother.

I’m at a loss. Any advice? If not advice, please tell me this is normal behaviour and if anyone has ever gone through this

4.5 month old sleep issues

It’s been about a week of my 4.5 month old sleeping in his own room and we have this problem. I’m not quite sure why he’s doing this.

We feed to sleep and bounce on the ball for 20 mins to ensure his burps are out (and he has reflux). I put him down (asleep I know - apparently that’s bad?). He wakes within 2-5 mins crying. My husband will go in and rock and he goes right back to sleep. He’ll do this 2-3 times every night. Then he’ll wake 3-4 hours later and I’ll feed him. And another time that night. It varies between 2-3 feedings at night.

Any idea what’s happening? I keep getting told it’s cause I’m feeding to sleep, or that he’s not going down “drowsy but awake”. Am I doing anything wrong here?

Need advice on CIO and Ferber

So I keep coming up on videos of “sleep experts” and pediatricians describing how bad sleep training is, how these methods create life long issues for children, how children cannot learn to self soothe for a long time, etc. How some countries have outlawed it, that it’s terrible

I Ferbered with check ins with my toddler. I want to know this sub’s opinion on all of this, if there’s truth to this and what they are missing. Any thoughts at all!

Help! 4 month old independant sleep

Im so done and need help
I have a 4 month old who, in the past week or so, just completely refuses the crib. He legit wakes the second we put him down, or like 5 later. Only cosleep/contact nap for naps. And most of the time we have to keep moving. If cosleep ing he can have longer naps but usually only 30-45 mins. He’ll be fed to sleep which is a habit I want to break. A couple of problems though:

He refuses a pacifier, refuses bottle (has oral dysfunction and we are doing physio to help with this). He has boots and bar to treat his Clubfoot which right now prevents stomach sleeping.

Schedule:
Still working on it but usually 1.30/1.30/1.30-1.45/1.45-2. It varies on some days it can be more sometimes less.

I did Ferber with check-ins with my forest kids at 9 months, but my mental health is way worse now and I just can’t continue cosleeping with my second. I need my space. His crib is in our room for now. Couple of questions:

- should I start Ferber with naps only then night sleep? I worry cause when he doesn’t have good naps he’s overtired and it all goes badly

- should I start in or room and then move him to his room or should we bite the bullet and just start from scratch in his own room?

- should I stilll feed to sleep for the time being until sleep trained or do both at the same time?

- how long to try each sleep training method? We want to start with Ferber like we did with our first.

- how do I encourage a self soothing method that’s not the pacifier, considering his aversion?

Any other types please. I’m so tired, I hate that I’m changing things up on him since he so clearly loves to cosleep but I just can’t do it anymore.

Moms of difficult babies

When does this get better

LO is 3.5 months and I’m at my limit. My first born was not like this. At this point I was working out and he was crib napping, going on walks everyday, I was getting out of the fog. I know .. I was lucky.

But this baby. My god. I have to be understanding; he is a club foot baby wearing boots and bar 23 hours a day. That would suck for anyone. But he’s also just always unhappy. Go to the store? Crying. Go to the mall? Crying. Will not take the bottle or a pacifier no matter what I have tried and paid for a lactation consultant. Even doing physio due to some mouth tension hoping it’ll help.

I don’t want to breastfeed anymore since it’s affecting my mental health so badly but I have to as he will legit just refuse all bottles/nipples. I feel stuck

How do you deal with this? Today I flung a pacifier at the wall out of anger at all this (yes I see a therapist and am on meds)

I’m really panicking

So I’m 13 weeks pp, I had an oversupply pretty early on up until about 5 days ago when I took the medication Abilify for two days. I discontinued because I noticed my supply was dropping and there’s been some reports of this medication doing this.

I cannot get my supply back up no matter how much he is feeding. He’s constantly on my breasts now. They are soooo sore. I want to quit EBF but the problem is that he flat out refuses all bottles. We’ve tried ten types, made the milk warm, different ppl tried to feed with me out of the room. He just spits it out and gags.

I’m freaking out. What do I do?!?
