Camila Cabello and Lil Nas X were inescapable in the late 2010s/early 2020s...then they disappeared.

Camila Cabello and Lil Nas X were inescapable in the late 2010s/early 2020s...then they disappeared.

I just remembered how big these two artists were back then...they were the face of young musical super-stardom..but for some reason their careers ran dry.

Reflections of Reality. Silent Hill 2. 9/25/2001

25 years ago Silent Hill 2 had perhaps the most advanced CGI scenes for a video game that year, almost on par with the scenes from another ethereal CGI masterpiece from earlier in that year...Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within.

I have always seen the haunting aftermath of 9/11 mirrored in the story of SH2...perhaps because the game launched only two weeks later during that same Autumn.

Or perhaps its because of the grey fog contained in both planes of existence...one fictional and one real.

Some Xbox fans are reluctant to get a Series X/S because its nearing the end of its lifespan (6 yrs old)..yet Microsoft routinely maintains the 13 yr old Xbox One

Many Xbox fans are saying that its better to wait for the next-gen Xbox as opposed to dropping $800-$900 for the Series X/S (specifically the 25th Anniversary console).

The reality is more complex. The Xbox 360 for example was supported well into the Xbox One generation (its final update came right during the initial phase of Covid). The Xbox One itself is still, as we speak, heavily supported by Microsoft. Xbox One just received basically the same August 2026 updates as the Series X/S despite first launching in 2013.

The Series X/S will likewise eventually also receive the same level of care from Microsoft when it is supplanted by the upcoming new Xbox.

Microsoft decided long ago that obsolescence was a dated concept. To them, maintaining an ecosystem where old consoles can co-exist with new ones is more beneficial in terms of customer satisfaction and profitability...a rare win-win for consumers.

So for people who are looking to buy an Xbox during the end of its lifecycle, Xbox has proven that you have nothing to worry about. Besides, AAA titles are cross-generation for at least 2-3 years on Xbox.

The Real Adventures of Jonny Quest turns 30 today.

This show seems to be forgotten and hated...but I loved it very much

This is neither Unreal Engine 5 nor AI. Its a cosplayer capturing the robotic movement of a video game character from 2003.

Her name is "Lieke Coule".

Why has the snapback hat revival of the 2010s outlived the popularity of the 2000s fitted hat?

I remember as a child in the 90s, snapback hats were the way of the world

Sometime in the early 2000s, the fitted hat became a rap-influenced luxury item and it was the undisputed king of hats for 10 or so years

I was a senior in HS when snapbacks started making a HUGE comeback in 2010...that was 16 years ago and any sports apparel store you go to will still have snapback hat inventory vastly outnumbering fitted hat inventory

Why is it that the fitted hat never regained its footing once the snapback hat came back in the early 2010s?

Recently I ran into a post asking if there was a lore reason for why Motoko is so sexy...it was a good question.

I believe that there is no lore reason.

She's sexy because her real-life creators wanted her to be sexy. They wanted you to find her sexy. They wanted you to want her.

Could somebody really have still been using a closed-circuit, CRT surveillance system in 2026?

I wonder what types of things have been projected onto this screen in those 26 years 😂
