If You Have Locs, You Need a Beret

I don’t see people with locs wearing berets enough!!!

You can dress it up in a suit! Go militaristic! Go artsy! Accessorize it with pins or brooches! They look so good!

I wear it in Texas Hot Humid Summers with no problem(get the tropic version).

A few of these pictures are me with no retwist for 4 months. You can’t even notice it. My head is massive; that plus no retwist and hats just do not fit over my head. But the XL beret does!

Get a beret! This is a Kangol Monty Tropic!

Got My First Sports Car & Manual and I Wasn't Prepared for the Sense of Community

I have owned my manual 2008 Saturn Sky Redline for 3 weeks and I wasn't prepared for the sense of community you get when you drive a car that signals "I like cars and driving".

In the Sky, people come talk to you about driving manual (I have a big sticker on the back of the car saying pls don't honk at me if i stall). People who say they want to learn how to drive a stick and just want to hear how you feel about it. It sounds like they genuinely want to know how it feels emotionally and for the connection to the car. I was stalling at the gas station while waiting in line and people came and make jokes about it. They dap you up cause they also drive manual. There's like a sense of comradery that you also chose the more difficult option.

People will be driving by and wave at you. People 'ride' with you when you're heading in the same direction. I joined the Miata driver's group for my local city and after riding with someone on the highway, they made a post saying "Hey I just saw you on the highway! We rode together for a few miles! nice meeting you!"

I was driving on the highway and a 992 GT3RS speeds up next to me and just gives me a quick little nod; like dude you have the grail car. You're looking at ME?

People just come up to you and say "I like your car!". I know the Sky isn't a very common car, but it's also not incredibly special looking. It just looks like a baby C6. Older people have come up to me and started talking about Pontiac and Saturn as brands.

This part of the car community is apart that no one really speaks about. People young and old just wanna chat with you. I really like it. I find driving a manual to be moderately unpleasant but the social aspect of it more than makes up for that.

It feels like the car lives in a space of being special enough that people who notice it, wanna talk about it. I like that!

I’m 28 in Houston.

I am attracted to femininity in all of its forms so if you have feminine features but identify as a man, I’m still attracted to that. I’ve been on a date with a fem presenting person before and I had no issues with it. I was a bit nervous but that subsided pretty quickly.

I would like to experiment with AMAB people, but I just don’t really find myself attracted masculinity. I really don’t like facial hair at all really! I’m just curious as to what it’s like. I don’t see myself being submissive to a man but I’m just trying to see what I like (I do see myself submitting to women).

Is there an ethical way of doing that? I’ve been telling people that I’m just trying stuff out. I have no problem going on dates and being seen out with a man, I’m not DL. I just want like…a friendship but also be physically intimate.

What I’m asking is: Is there a way to find people who are more open to just experimenting with low commitment? How do I not hurt someone’s feelings while doing that? Is there any precautions to know before diving in? Should I take PREP? (Is that insulting to ask?)

Grindr was a bit too much for me. It felt like “show meat, hole, or get out”. Didn’t seem like people wanted to chit chat or hang out there.
