Funny they barely look bigger at all than my kids size 6 diadoras.
I really dig the colorway.

Extra 40% off at Joes New Balance Outlet

No link- but you’ll find it.
Lots of solid New Balance options that were already marked down, now marked down even further.
Same deal I got my Tekela Elite for just under $100.
Lots of 2E width options.
Small restocking fee if you’re trying multiple sizes.

2017 Toyota Prius | Copart

2017 Prius V 90K miles
I was eyeing this one on Copart as it’s local. Never got out to look at it and couldn’t be available for the bidding today, but even after Copart fees this feels like a steal of a deal.
Seems like it was serviced very regularly at Toyota.
Our area had a nasty hail storm so the local yard had over 900 hail damaged cars at one point.
Someone I think got a good deal.
What would y’all have paid out the door considering the hail damage?

Apple Watch 8 Stainless - Face came right off in pool.

My kid's watch. Apparently the face came right off while in the wave pool, so certainly water got on the interior. I let it drive outside and overnight.

No apparent signs of damage to the bezel, so not sure what happened for it to pop off. Screen seems in fine shape still.

What's a good way to test if any of this still works?
Doesn't seem to power on or receive any charge.

Studio Display (2022) PSU replacement

I picked up a Studio Display from a University Surplus store. It was described as not working, but they weren't sure if they had the right machine to test.
I took the gamble on it for $200. Screen and housing in nice condition.
Got it home and confirmed it's not powering up. Not registering under System Information. No warmth on the back of the monitor, and I couldn't hear anything when plugging in.

The options.
‣ Just sell it as parts
or
‣ diagnose issues and hopefully repair.

Anyone have any experience with this? An iFixit video shows that getting access shouldn't be that difficult with the adhesive cutter.
There's a manual and OEM parts order-able from https://selfservicerepair.com/en-US/home
The PSUs plus adhesive would come out to $150.
However the logic board could be toast, which is $350 I think.

My question is for anyone who has done this work, how to diagnose and rule out which parts are potentially faulty.

I don't think I could get it register for AppleCare One as I can't power it on to connect it and add it to my AppleID. It does fall under the 4 year, though, since it was purchased in Aug 2022.

Tekela Elite Low v5

These fit snug and can’t wait to test on the pitch.
2E width.
Joe’s New Balance had 40% off last weekend and these came in under $100
40% off is over but they have some models 2 for $99

Anyone traveling to Menominee and back in the next week?

I have an auction item to pickup at UW Stout, just wondering if someone here makes that route regularly and could scoop it. It’s heavier and irregular, so costly to ship.

Removing Pen Markings

I have a large batch of 1970s photos to digitize, however they were stacked with notes in between and the recent pen markings there have bled onto the fronts of the photos behind in the stacks.

It's a messy job now for sure, but looking for the right tool stack to go about removing these markings. My thought is that the ink color is distinct enough that isolating it could help, but my PS skills are developing.

I'm setup to camera scan with DSLR into LrC, and will likely have 100s of photos affected. Current plan is to scan first and edit after.

Copa Mundial White ID4050 Fit question.

Bought the Copa Mundial from Sierra for $70, but size 11 too big and too much room in the toebox. About a thumbnails width there. I do have wider forefeet, 11cm
Wondering if I move to a 10 on these and they'll stretch or 10.5.
Typically 11-11.5 in sneakers or other cleats.
