I’m on my third reread, I just finished New Spring and I’m about to jump back into Fires of Heaven.

But I’ve been thinking, what if Rand actually took up Lanfear on her offer back in book 4.

This is more of a character analysis of her, and not a “could they actually do it?” question.

Obviously, I don’t think it would really work given the context of the prophecies and how the pattern works.

But say the world was slightly different and the strings of the pattern weren’t as strong. Would she actually help him defeat the other others? Would they actually destroy the dark one together and just rule with each other over the world and spend eternity banging? Or do you think she would eventually betray him?

For some reason you are invited to help do some work at the estate of the late Robert Jordan. The context can be whatever you want, the important part is the question.

While cleaning out the attic, you find a chest that nobody else knew was there.

Hello everybody, I’m wanting to get a WOT tattoo, and to keep it in line with my other tattoos I think it would be really cool to get something in the old tongue written on my arm.

Are there any examples in any of the WOT media of the old tongue actually written down? Also, is there an actual translator somewhere online like there is with the Lord of the rings or several other medias?

So my wife and I just picked up the game and are loving it.

HOWEVER

I want to play solo with a separate character. But I want to have the NPC’s with me so I’m not literally alone.

How much of vessel of hatred to I have to complete to unlock the mercenary hideout for my account?

That way I can start my solo run with access to them for the base game. Is that how it works?

My idea was to make characters that start on that campaign state and we could just rush it together not paying attention just to get the unlock. But how long does that take realistically? All the “game guides” provide no answers.

I really wish they just had these NPC’s in the base game man, I hate blizzard sometimes.

I have:

Beat the final mission

Maxed out rapport

Viewed all scenes

Gone back to shrine

Nothing happens.

What am I doing wrong? I want to see the other endings without doing a whole play through, what am I missing in order to revoke my ring and give it to new lady?

I live in an incredibly moss prone area. The roof was done a yearish ago before I bought the place.

I bought a zinc strip for moss prevention. However, I have that corrugated ridge vent so I couldn’t really get the strip underneath the ridge like most sources say to do.

I got it as flush as I could to the ridge. Then I used the provided neoprene nails and went extra and sprayed each nail with 2 layers of this silicone spray. Will this be enough to prevent possible leaks or should I get some calk and just do the entirety of the edge with it as well?

So, I’m on my first playthrough. I cleared Cornia (minus the capital) and have dipped a little into both dagonland and elfland.

The only hiccup I’m having is that I don’t like using mercenaries on my squads because they don’t get rapport/ are just really generic feeling. I think doing a non merc run for my first playthrough would be fun.

Is the mid/late game way harder without mercs? Or is there enough variety and even some repeat classes that I can use for having several powerful units without using them?

Also, is there a real benefit to stationing guards at towns? I’m close to running out of actual characters for guards.

I deliberately made the choice not to affiliate when I hit the benchmark so that I wouldn’t have to show my community ads. I just wanna be here to have fun and don’t give a shit about making $.15 on ad revenue.

But yesterday, suddenly the menus for ads and everything started showing up on my account, and all of the behind the scenes technical stuff is suddenly unlocked.

I don’t care about emotes or bits or subs or anything like that.

If I just never do the enrollment will they continue to let me stream ad free? Nobody seems to really know what the hell is going on with this decision.

Does anybody have any insight?

I have a small task for all of you.

Describe to me your ideal life in this universe, or one that sounds interesting to you.

Many times over the series, the way he would describe the everyday life of people really made me wonder what on earth I would do in this universe. When I asked my wife, her answer was wildly different than mine or what I would’ve expected. Same with most of the people asked.

Here are the rules.

1: let’s just assume that this takes place during/after the Aiel War era.

However, let’s just pretend everything to do with the prophecy of the Dragon coming true a.k.a. Rand and all the main events of the books aren’t happening/ going to happen, and the world is relatively stable other than the occasional stuff coming out of the Blight and your average territorial disputes.

No final battle, no bubbles of evil, no forsaken ruining everything.
