Has anyone tuned into live coverage of the Punjab assembly? Any thoughts on it?
I tuned in and I am mind blown how they have consistently, for years, been so dumb. No one seems to know the laws or policy that exists and it is just non stop raising small issues and questioning whether some policy or law exists.
One of the greatest losses is the deforestation of our homeland. It is much worse than I even thought.
How can I go about getting a refund on my activation fee from June?
Got a new line on a port in offer in June, days before the activation fees were lifted. I am fed up with the crappy customer service and crappy billing practices. The fact that they wouldn't/couldn't do anything for the activation fee in store while other customers got the fees waived before the activation fees were lifted is ridiculous. Is there any way I can get a refund on those fees, minus any discounts? If not I am seriously considering switching providers once deals become available just out of the bad taste this experience has left. I have only tried going in store for support so far, it has been near impossible for me to try and reach customer care over the phone due to how long the waits have been and the one time I got through the agent was fixing some technical difficulty for 50 minutes before I hung up.
Doing campus programs via online learning?
Can on campus programs be done fully via online learning? Minus the courses without online equivalents of course. Has anyone done this or looked into the policies regarding this I'm looking to take a specific online post bachelors diploma program from Gaglardi business school that is offered on campus, I plan on doing just under 3/4th of it online if possible.
[Long term regionally relevant] In-situ groundwater level monitoring reveals worldwide status, trends and impacts
This long term monitoring based study points to serious concerns about over abstraction of the regional water supply. The concerning bit is how drastic the Indus basin aquifer reduction has been.

Advice for someone looking to switch careers into accounting locally?
I'm planning a mid-career switch from administrative/finance adjacent work into accounting here in BC (looking at the Lower Mainland primarily).
I have a 3-year foreign bachelor’s degree in Business from the UK. To qualify for CPA PEP in Western Canada, I need to top up my education to hit the mandatory 120-credit hour requirement and knock out the 45 credits of core business/accounting prerequisites (may be less, still awaiting transcript assessment).
Because I work full time and am trying to minimise the financial hit of going back to school, I am looking strictly at online, asynchronous distance education. I’ve narrowed my paths down to two options and want realistic feedback on them:
Option A: Athabasca University - BCom (General) via their Second Degree pathway.
Pros: stronger credential, fewer specific accounting courses required (7 + 1 lower level degree requirement)
Cons: cost est. 27-28k, will require 24-25 courses with lower level requirements, will take longer
Option B: TRU Open Learning - Bachelor of General Studies (BGS) concurrently with a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Accounting (since BGS costs essentially nothing with credit transfer + Post-Bac is 5 courses).
Pros: local BC institution, faster/easier route to completion, cost est. 13-15k
Cons: weaker credential, more specific accounting courses required (11)
Also any advice regarding the job market would also be appreciated. Thank you in advance for anyone that is able to answer questions/offer advice.
