I made a free tool to auto-set cues via XML export

If you’re importing huge batches of tracks or refreshing your pools regularly, you already know that manually setting hot cues is easily the most tedious part of library prep in Rekordbox.

I got completely burnt out spending hours scrubbing through waveforms to find intros, drops, breakdowns, and outros. So, I put my coding background to use and built a local Windows tool to automate the whole process.

Basically, you export your Rekordbox XML, run it through the program, and it analyzes the track structures to spit out a fresh XML with up to 8 hot cues already placed. It maps Extended Mixes and standard DJ edits really accurately.

I originally built this first for one genre and then expanded it across all EDM and other genres, and it has been great. It's cut my prep time down from hours to literally minutes.

It's free to use if you want to grab a copy and test it out on your own library; send me a DM, and I’ll shoot you the link!

I built a tool to auto-place Rekordbox hot cues.

Manually prepping tracks and hunting for drops and breakdowns is easily the worst part of importing big playlists.

I have a bit of a programming background, so I decided to just build a custom tool to do it for me. The idea was simple: let software analyze the audio structure and automatically place the cues.

The workflow is pretty smooth now. I export my Rekordbox XML, feed it into my program, and it spits out a new XML with up to 8 hot cues perfectly placed. It's been incredibly solid for bulk library prep and handles Extended Mixes without breaking a sweat.

Just curious if anyone else relies on automation for their track prep? If anyone wants to try out the tool I built to see how accurate it is on your own library, drop a comment and I'll share it with you.

KimiCue automatic hot cue generation - Serato/Rekordbox DJs

Like a lot of DJs, I got fed up with spending hours setting hot cues every time I added a batch of new tracks to Serato or Rekordbox.

https://preview.redd.it/oyb7h62un33h1.png?width=1418&format=png&auto=webp&s=5e02d7ebfb9cec256db351ad5c8e40c051b327c6

A while back, my dev team and I started working on a tool to handle that process automatically.

The idea was simple. Instead of manually finding intros, drops, breakdowns, and outros on every track, let software analyze the track structure and place the cues for you.

The result became KimiCue.

You export your Rekordbox XML, run it through the software, and it generates a new XML with cue points already added. It can create up to 8 hot cues per track and works with things like Extended Mixes, Radio Edits, and other common DJ formats.

We built it mainly around EDM workflows, but we've tested it across a variety of genres and it's been surprisingly useful for bulk library preparation.

For me, the biggest advantage has been reducing track prep from hours to minutes, especially when importing large playlists or updating music pools.

There's a free version available if anyone wants to experiment with it and see how accurate the cue placement is on their own collection.

Interested to hear how everyone else handles hot cue preparation these days. Are you still doing everything manually, or using other tools to speed it up?

KimiCue automatic hot cue generation - Rekordbox/Serato DJs

After spending way too much time manually placing hot cues in Rekordbox, I decided to build a tool with my dev team to speed up the process.

It's called KimiCue.

The tool reads a Rekordbox XML export, analyzes the actual audio structure of each track, then automatically places hot cues at key sections such as the intro, buildup, breakdown, drop, and outro.

We originally built it with EDM in mind, but it works across a wide range of genres and is useful when you're preparing large music libraries.

https://preview.redd.it/oyb7h62un33h1.png?width=1418&format=png&auto=webp&s=5e02d7ebfb9cec256db351ad5c8e40c051b327c6

WFeatures:

• Reads Rekordbox XML exports
• Analyzes track structure using audio analysis
• Automatically creates up to 8 hot cues per track
• Generates a new Rekordbox-ready XML file
• Works with Extended Mixes, Radio Edits, and similar formats

The biggest benefit for me has been saving time. What used to take hours of repetitive cue point work can now be done in minutes.

There's a free version available if anyone wants to test it on a few tracks and see how it performs.

Built a free tool for Rekordbox DJs called KimiCue that automatically generates hot cues using audio analysis.

You export your Rekordbox XML, load it into the app, and it scans the structure of each track to place cues around sections like intros, builds, breakdowns, drops, and outros. It then creates a new XML you can import back into Rekordbox.

Main features:

• Auto hot cue generation based on track structure
• Works with EDM, house, techno, melodic, afro house, and similar genres
• Supports extended mixes, radio edits, club edits, etc
• Uses your current Rekordbox XML workflow
• Saves a lot of manual prep time on larger playlists

Completely free to use.

You can download it directly from the official website (Search Kimicue Auto Cue Maker on Google) or through the Microsoft Store (KimiCue).

Built a local stem splitter for Windows, no uploads, no subscription

Hey everyone, I got tired of subscribing to cloud stem splitters and wanted something on my own PC, so me and my dev team built Stem Splitter Pro for Windows with my small dev team. Everything runs locally on your PC. No uploads, no subscriptions, no internet needed after install.

https://preview.redd.it/coshv9ctt53h1.png?width=1536&format=png&auto=webp&s=eaad49ef76ee6db79689ccad625449e1a75e5c91

What it does:

  • Split Vocals, Drums, Bass, and Other stems
  • Detect BPM and musical key automatically
  • Batch process full folders at once
  • Export WAV or MP3 for Ableton, FL Studio, and other DAWs
  • AI model updates regularly with improved separation quality
  • One-time purchase, lifetime access

The model was trained on over 500,000 professional tracks, and the separation quality has been solid in my own testing for remixing, sampling, and acapella extraction.

Available now on the Microsoft Store and the official Stem Splitter Pro website.

Would genuinely like feedback from producers and DJs here.

KimiCue automatic hot cue generation - Rekordbox/Serato DJs

I got tired of manually setting hot cues on every track in Rekordbox, so I ended up building a tool with my dev team to automate it.

It’s called KimiCue. It reads your Rekordbox XML export, analyses the actual audio structure of the track, then places hot cues automatically at the intro, buildup, breakdown, drop and outro.

We mainly built it for EDM genres, but can work across all genres and helps get cue points right at a fast pace or bulk set them.

Main window of KimiCue Auto Cue software

What it does:

  • Reads Rekordbox XML exports
  • Analyses track structure using audio analysis
  • Creates 8 hot cues automatically
  • Writes everything back into a new Rekordbox-ready XML
  • Supports Extended Mixes, Radio Edits and similar formats

The biggest thing for me is the time saving. Prepping a large batch of tracks used to take hours, if not days. Now it takes a few minutes.

There’s a free version that lets you test it on a couple of tracks a day.

If anyone wants to try it, just search “KimiCue automatic hot cue” on google and you can use the free version.

I Built a Free Calisthenics App Because Most Fitness Apps Are Subscription Based!

Been training calisthenics for years and got tired of fitness apps that either push gym routines or hide basic features behind subscriptions.

So I made my own.

It’s a free web app you can also install on your phone like a normal app. No subscription, no premium version, no ads everywhere.

Current features:

• Workout tracking
• Streaks, XP and levels
• Global leaderboards and tournaments
• Calisthenics park finder
• 30+ language support

Still early, so I’m looking for real feedback from people who actually train consistently.

What features would make you use an app like this every day?

If you run into bugs, drop a comment. I launched at a rough time and stayed up testing everything, but if something’s broken I’ll patch it ASAP.

Spent months building a free calisthenics tracker

I've been doing calisthenics for a while and got frustrated that most fitness apps are either gym-focused or locked behind paywalls.

So I built one. It's a web app (also installable as a PWA on your phone), completely FREE, no subscription, no "premium tier," nada...

What it has so far:

  • Track workouts and build streaks
  • XP and levelling system to keep you motivated
  • Leaderboards and tournaments
  • Calisthenics park finder
  • Works in 30+ languages

It's early days, and I genuinely want feedback from people who actually train, not just signups.

What's missing? What's broken? What would make you actually use it daily?

I launched at a bad time. I have tested all should be fine anyone sees any bugs, comment ill fix them when I wake up, but so far, all seems 👌

After years of setting cue points track by track in Rekordbox, I got fed up and built something to fix it.

KimiCue reads your Rekordbox XML export and automatically places hot cues at the musically correct moments - the intro, the drop, the breakdown, the build, and the outro — using actual audio analysis. Not beat-grid guessing, but actual structural analysis of the track.

The workflow is simple:

  • Export your XML from Rekordbox as normal
  • Run it through KimiCue
  • Import the new XML back into Rekordbox
  • Your cues are already placed and labelled across your whole library

Supports Extended Mix, Radio Edit, and other templates. Hot cues come out named (A, B, C...) at the structurally meaningful points, so you know exactly what each one is when you're in a set.

Time saving: A 100-track library that used to take a full evening takes about 3-5 minutes.

Free tier is 2 tracks a day - enough to test it on some of your library and see if the cue placement works for your style before committing to anything. Pro removes the limit and unlocks everything.

Tested across tech house, melodic techno, and trance. Would love feedback from people with different genres - especially anyone with a large library of longer tracks where manual prep really kills time.

Just search Kimicue automatic hot cue and it'll come up.

KimiCue analyses your Rekordbox XML and automatically places hot cues at the musically correct moments - the intro, the drop, the breakdown, the build, and the outro - using actual audio analysis rather than just guessing from the waveform.

For house music, this matters more than most genres. A 6 or 7 minute track with a slow burn intro, a breakdown that creeps up on you and a drop that needs hitting at exactly the right moment in a mix - getting those cues placed correctly is the difference between a smooth transition and a mess. KimiCue figures that structure out automatically.
,

What it actually does:

  • Reads your Rekordbox XML export
  • Analyses the audio structure of each track
  • Places named hot cues (A, B, C...) at the key moments
  • Writes them back into a new XML, which you import straight into Rekordbox
  • Supports Extended Mix, Radio Edit, and other templates

Time saving: A 100-track library that used to take a full evening takes about 3-5 minutes. If you're keeping up with new Toolroom, Defected or Trax drops every week that time adds up fast.

Free tier is 2 tracks a day - enough to run it on a few tracks and see if the placement actually works for how you mix. Pro removes the limit and unlocks everything.

Tested on tech house and melodic house. Would love to know how it holds up on deep house, afro house, Chicago-style tracks with longer structures - drop your results in the comments.

Just search Kimicue automatic hot cue and it'll come up.

After years of manually setting cue points track by track, I got fed up and built something to fix it.

KimiCue analyses your Rekordbox XML and automatically places hot cues at the musically correct moments - drops, breakdowns, buildups, intros and outros - using audio analysis rather than just guessing from the waveform.

Who it's for:

  • DJs with large libraries who dread prepping new music
  • Anyone who preps tracks manually and wants that time back
  • Rekordbox users who want intelligent cue points, not just beat-grid markers

What it actually does:

  • Reads your Rekordbox XML export
  • Analyses the audio structure of each track
  • Places named hot cues (A, B, C...) at structurally meaningful points
  • Writes them back into a new XML you import into Rekordbox
  • Supports Extended Mix, Radio Edit, and other templates

Time saving: A 100-track library that used to take a full evening to prep manually takes about 3-5 minutes. For working DJs prepping new releases every week, it adds up fast.

The free tier lets you analyse 2 tracks a day - enough to try it on some of your most-played tracks and see if the cue placement actually makes sense for your style. Pro removes the limit and unlocks the full feature set if you decide it's worth it.

Would love feedback from people with different genres and library sizes. I've tested heavily on melodic techno, tech house, and trance, but curious how it holds up on drum and bass, hip hop, afrobeats, amapiano, etc.
