Remote FM'ing

I spend a couple of nights a week on hotels. I hate bringing my bulky laptop alongside my work laptop. Airports, metros, walking.

I could leave my pc running at home and link up via steam. But my work laptop does not let me install anything - so that's not an option.

My solution right now would be buying a small 14" laptop to do the job.

Any other suggestions?

Fliserne her, spidser en lille smule ind ad.

Nogle gode tips

2 x 210 coming up - rig is ready

I really hope my neck will last this time. The first 130 is headwind. That killed my neck last time around.

Pulled my hoods further up, and have been considering flipping my stem. Will do that, if my neck starts acting up again.

I have a plan b, to split the ride into 3 if i need it.

Looking forward to trying the new dubnitals, and especially looking forward to eating all the snacks in my snack bag.

Edit: missing word

Scraping prices and gtin from webshops

I have a small extension that compares prices across a few selected webshops.

To avoid scraping I built it, so that ot uses the webshops own search function in real time to find products. One of these shops has now deprecated the gtin search on-site.

I hoped to find their xml for google shopping somewhere but i haven't been able to.

Back to scraping.

The site i currently want to scrape is bike discount dot de.

My current plan to do it as gentle as possible is to setup a dedicated scrape computer at home and have it go thru every product page and log the price + gtin. Slow, but thats OK for my use case.

What would you do?

Green jerseys on group rides goes to weaker rider

Edit:

After criticism of my lack of clarity; I care about the bad design. There's so much of it in a game that could be so much better with little tweaks to ui and other small stuff like this. Maybe im just a bit too ambitious on zwifts behalf.

This is no real problem for me. I don't really care. But i think it is rather buggy that when I ride with my mate to help him loose weight, on a stick together ride, and i smash one sprint after another he gets the green jersey. Im doing 6-800 watts across the sprint. He does 170.

Help me find European cycling products

I've created pedalpricer, which is an extension, that finds the best prices on bike components and the likes.

I want to nudge people to buy European, but first I need a solid list of european brands.

I've started the list with the help of Le Chat, now I would like your help.

https://pedalpricer.cc/european-alternatives

Add entries to the list, i will verify and accept edits.

Also, if you have a webshop that fits the bill, please reach out.

Did reddit just add a doomscrolling 'for you' feature?

This is what lawmakers should create laws against. This is what makes people addicted to platforms. This is shit.

Anthropic will (may) ask you to verify your age or identity

I know, I know, AI is very not-private. But I think this is the wrong direction. I've chosen to use Claude, because they frame them self as 'the good guy'.

I don't know if Mistral is better, but I will use the subscription I have to replace Claude in my daily work.

>Verification Data: In certain circumstances, we may ask you to verify your age or identity. If you choose to do so, data we will collect includes, depending on the method: an image of your government-issued identity document and the information appearing on it (such as your ID number and date of birth); your image in photo or video form, facial geometry templates (which may be considered ‘biometric data’ in some jurisdictions); and the result of the verification (for example, whether your age meets the applicable threshold).

European builders: I made something to get the best price for your parts

I'm no hardcore developer. I just had a little too much time on my hands.
So I built (first iteration of this was built before AI) a live price checker with Claude.

Simple stuff. Visit a supported site (I hope your favorite one is there - or drop a comment and I will see if I can add it), and the extension shows you where to find the best price for that item.

I gain nothing. I track price data and amount of clicks. Not who clicks. Nothing personal or remotely personal is being tracked.

The web version is a lite 'proof of concept'.

I'm Danish, therefore there's an abundance of Danish shops in the mix. Disable them in settings - they are not the cheapest anyway.
