i started playing bugworks again a month ago and i noticed the longer the session goes the longer it takes to load a craft no matter how small

after 1h of playing its already in the ball park of 10 seconds to load
were when the game is started fresh it takes like less then a second to 2 seconds and if i play for longer it just takes longer and longer to the point were i start questioning if the game is even running but its not only the loading time that is effected its also the game that runs all of a sudden immensely slower and more rough

does anyone know why this is happening last time i played before i took a break in may ish it was perfectly fine even forgetting to shut down my pc and leaving stormworks running over night did nothing to the performance but now even an hour can reduce playability drastically

im currently suffering because i try to make a sail ship but there 2 problems that prevent me from making a successfull one

i either use a keel block and the whole craft is vibration no matter how low the keel force is wich is making walking on the craft impossible or a nightmare

or i make my own keel and no matter how much weight i slap on its always either it sinks because its to heavy or the keel does literally nothing

at this point im not sure if its possible to make a proper working sail boat in bugworks
any tipps to make it work

why has it become so frustrating to make boats in stormworks before i yap what's wrong some important context

i played stormworks for a while now and importantly i started playing before the buoyancy update
that change somethings with the buoyancy and my last ship was a solid amount of time before that update Ive been doing pretty much helicopters only and some land vehicles in the meanwhile

So i though lets make a sail ship and it made me wanna uninstall..
no matter the hull i make it either sinks like a brick or is way to good at keeping itself over the water

if i put a keel block on it, it works all of a sudden but comes with a massive flaw that the whole thing vibrates extremely and no matter how much weight i put on or fins or just reduce the keel force,
it may "stop" the vibrating for the craft but the player model will still vibrate on it and slides
but this is not were it ends

since for some reason every other spawn it just acts like there is a hole in the hull just to act like normal when respawned but thats still not were the problems end

So do you guys have some tips how to make a ship hull that work or a keel that doesnt turn the ship into a vibrator

im currently building a heli and was wondering does this work as a control surface (see picture above) or is it doing nothing in terms of handling other then shifting the weight ever so slightly when moving

Has the last update (0.34) made the game borderline unplayable for you guys aswell ?

Since mint is giving me specific problems that is caused by cinnamon i want to use that as an excuse to switch to Fedora KDE now i got a Few Question regarding making a distro hop

1. will my steam games work seamless once i added the library to steam and all the proton versions are downloaded ?
   (the library are on separate drives then the system)

2. is there anything that people might overlook that i should know ?

3. Would it be bad if i leave my windows 10 SSD connected during install of fedora even when i know exactly what drive is what ?

Ssd 256GB OS Linux
m.2 Steam 1tb
m.2 Steam 2 1tb
Ssd 1tb win 10

Is There a way to Prevent the Drive Failed to unmount error when restarting or shuting down the pc like something that prevents mint for shuting/restarting untill the drive is unmounted ?

now the drive in question is a seperate drive were the os isnt on and i knew its steam trying to write something like cloud Stuff or workshop updates

but its getting kinda anyoing to see this error panic for a second the remebering its steam
i mainly ask since its getting triersome to babysit my pc so the drives unmount properly

Since Firefox is unusable even after months of troubleshooting i give up on firefox is there any browser that uses firefox extensions that isnt firefox ?

im getting back into rfactor 2 after like 5 years but i cant seem to find any good ffb settings the best i found so far were extremely grindy even after some fine tuning it also felt kinda on and off

Does someone have A good baseline or even a ffb profile ?

i Cant seem to find any fix for my problem with firefox and it got to the point were if i cant find a fix any time soon i ready to switch to a different browser

but what is the problem every time i open a new tab there is the chance of of the tab & URL bar completely kicking the bucket or it crashes all together the tab & URL bar is not clickable when this happens bookmarks are

this happens about every 10th tab that i open the only "solution" i found was closing the windows which is bad since for some reason firefox wont allow me to restore the previous session when the bug happens
or wait it out and hope firefox fixes it self which basically never works only did twice of countless times the bug appeared

Ive tried to reinstall it tried it on a different OS Mint Linux and windows 10 happens on both
i tried to disable all extensions clear the cache but nothing worked

at this point it feels hopeless i tried to fix it for about 4 months now does anyone know how to fix it
i will perform black magic if needed

ive made the jump to Linux near 6 months ago and i really enjoyed my time so far,
but i think i am at the point were i leave Mint for something different and Fedora cough my attention,
in my research there have been some question that i could not find an answer really that's why i am making this post

What am i using my PC for i mainly use it for Gaming and Digital Drawing (krita)

So not to waste more time here are the questions

1.What Version to Chose Fedora(Gnome) or Fedora KDE

In Mint i had the Problem that Cinnamon Froze Completely or became extremely laggy when it was running longer then about 18h so i would focus more on the DE that Can run at least a day and still run fine,
but also what do you guys recommend i tried gnome a bit but i wasn't sure about it but i am also not against the idea of using Gnome

(note: i am not sure why cinnamon broke after the time i asking mainly if Gnome or kde can act like that)

2.RPM Fusion

i watched a good amount of Videos about fedora and i dont think i quite understand RPM Fusion
is it something that is needed or something that is just there to fix some incompatibility that may appear

3. Security Settings

is there anything needed to be done after install in terms of security other then enabling firewall
for normal security

4. Is there anything i need to know about Fedora

Mainly things people leave out of videos or forget to mention that might be good to know

Does someone know a way to grind merits that is actually meaningful by that i mean it give enough merits to make it worth to grind

i just cant seem to find any grind method online that hasn't been fixed or nerfed to the ground
so far the best grind method i found would bring me to max rank in about 80h im pretty atp the weekly missions would be faster

at this point i dont care what the grind is as long as it isnt on foot gameplay

(Note: i know i could change my primary monitor but im not gonna do that every time i want to play)

how likely is it that automobilista 2 gets a setting to change the output monitor like any modern game or am i to optimistic

im currently on the way back from Beagle Point and there is something i noticed the in game route planner sucks massive,

at the start of the trip i went from chona to colonia and i noticed it were Galaxy plotter made a route that took 67 jumps Elite made a route that took 296 Jumps mind you fastest route and jet cone boost were enabled.

even shorter jumps were galaxy plotter took 1 jump elite made 3-9 jumps out of it despite me being able to jump that far.
(example: the star was 328ly away with the jet cone boost i had 417ly range)

Those examples weren't even from the center of the galaxy they come from the trip between chona and Colonia later in the trip it was so bad that elite wasnt able to find 2 neutron stars in a row and i had to copy paste 1 system at a time from galaxy plotter since elite made 20+ jumps out of it.

in general it feels like the in game route planner basically completely ignores neutron stars,
the route elite gave me for colonia had 5 neutron stars in it,
galaxy plotter gave me a route were after 5 systems away from chona i never jump to any other star that wasnt a neutron star right up until 2 systems away from colonia.

rn exploring feels you either life with jumping 100s of times more (just based of a 20kly range)
or tab out and jump systems in 1-5 gaps in the route list which for me really kills my interest in seeing anything past colonia,
i mean without Galaxyplotter i probably would have turned around after Sagittarius A since with galaxy plotter the trip is in its 5th day irl already and i really dont want to find out how long it would take without it
probably would have not even reached rainbows end yet which was on the route it took.

since the current tyre model every time i drive hypercar there is just a random moment where the car gives up and spins out no tyre lock up no overheating in brakes or tyre no curb no big elevation change no full battery the car just gives up

the tyres only have a 2-3 % thread Difference to the front i even went so far and tested in an lmp2 were i ruined the rear tyres on purpose and even with a 60% difference so 100% in front and 40% thread in the rear it was completely preditcable and i was doing fine but for some reason the hyper car with perfectly fine tyres isnt predictable it has gotten so bad that i think
if i cant fine the reason why it does that, that im just quitting this sim but im sure as hell wont go back to iracing

i find it strange since at the le mans 24h event i was able to run 1 set mediums 6 stints long even tho i locked up a few times which wasnt so good for the tyres the car never spun out for no reason like it does now in the same race i even went on 3 stints with softs went perfectly fine

does someone have the sameproblem or know what it could be im lossing my shit overhere

So i got the KTM Gravelator Pro 2x 2026 few days ago and i have 2 thing i need answers

1. i got a clicking noise when pressure is applied to the handlebars the noise goes somewhere from the handle steer assembly area i re tightened the screws that hold the angle of the bar relative to the ground and to the wheel it still clicks what could it be

2. i noticed this on the frame is this maybe related to the clicking noise ?

Does someone know a good browser for mint to use i cant be bothered with firefox anymore and all its problems but i also have no idea what to use but i now it aint gonna be chrome

Edit since alot asked what probelms firefox is giving me i add this
-Tab bar becoming usable and frezzeing closed tabs onto the bar
-book marks missing and randomly returning
-Random Crashes
-URL Bar Frezzes ussualy along side the tab bar

ive dirven now about 30~ race since the last tyre update and my god wtf is going on with the current tyre model i dont mind that it has basically no grip when the tyres a fresh and cold even if the car cant make a turn at pit speed limit but i cant wrap my head arround why the hyper cars just lose grip for no reason at all at random,

before the tyre change i was driving one set 6 stints long no issues in the 24h race now i cant even drive 20 mins before the car just spins i checked the replay of the vast majority and one common thing they have is they were not caused by:
-uneven terrain
-cold tyres
-to warm tyres
-Lock up
-to agressive rotation into the corner
-Curb
-Car contact

this happens with every hyper i tested (not tested were vanwall glick alpine) it just completly robs the fun out of lmu rn does someone know what might could be the cause of it ?
(note i keep my hyb between 80-15%)

i looking for a new hyper car to main whats the hyper you guys like to drive and why

i cant wrap my head arround why we cant join another race if we left a race that is still going,
i could understand it if its because someone left the race for no reason

but my god i had it so often that some verstappen wanna be makes a stupid move and kills your car just for you to know sit in the race selection not being able to race the next race because the game apperantly thinks its funny to cockblock you and wont let you join the next race not sure how long that last if its the race duratioon of the reg race but it sure is long enough to miss the follwing race or two

this bs made me quit on lmu for that day so often cuz why invest time when mistakes of others can rob you of so much time
while i really dislike iracing atleast there if you reck or get reckt you can reg for another race asap
