Question about commercial games with mature content
To be clear : I'm not talking about erotic/pornographic games (i.e. games where sex is the main selling point), rather I'm talking about games that include sex/violence/gore as part of the story/gameplay but not in focus, maybe part of the cutscenes or in the background of the game..think Max Payne, GTA or The Punisher for example. As I understand any commercial game with the tag NSFW gets de-indexed and since mature content is part of these types of games it would be wrong to not label them as such from the developer, but at the same time how would a gamer find these games if a developer wishes to make them ? I find this whole process confusing for both the player and the developer, it's like lumping R-rated movies with X-rated movies at the same time IMHO.
