epubs of dr sonai's works?

Ya'll first of all don't flame me for piracy I have them on paper I just really prefer digital versions because I can put them into a screen reader to listen on long trips while driving or while a the gym...

Anyway that being said, does anyone have some epub or pdf versions of dr sonai's workers??

I'm confident that they would not only improve AI chatbots and also help familiarize more folks with this groundbreaking work and also some of sonai's personal expressions from the memoirs.

What is your experience with mullvad refund?

i requested a refund and i guess they feel the need to short people even when when they can't even issue refunds for most methods of payment. has anyone gotten a full refund

i didn't want to bother posting on the mullvad subreddit since they have removed posts critical of one of mullvad's co-owners

The DSA Platform Would Destroy American Democracy

Great essay pointing out how the hollowing out of checks and balances without replacement can empower right wing autocrats who face significant resistance under a system like ours, such as Donald Trump who has been thwarted by the courts and other albeit flailing institutions. Under the DSA liquidation of checks and balances the author points out we could end up like Israel, which coincidentally was shaped by labour zionists with socialistic values that didn't feel a need to have a constitutional system.

And I will commentate myself to ask, do DSA members really want to have a purely majoritarian system with zero checks and balances such as in Vietnam which has a managed democracy?

Firefox funds the far right

If you post about it it gets removed on the associated board but Firefox has a contract with mullvad to provide their VPN services whose co-founder uses the profits of to fund a pro "remigration" party in sweden that wants to ethnically cleanse the country of somali people.

DSA isn't "infiltrating" the Democratic Party it's just introducing member democracy

You can't "join" the democratic party. DNC leadership consists of elected officials and party delegates, not a mass membership like DSA. Therefore influencing it is an elite bargaining process rather than a people led one. DSA just gives regular people a voice.

What DSA is doing is what used to lead the Democrats before the decline of organized labor

It's breakout is resultant from their policies which it can be dynamic on because of this member democracy...

If conservative liberals want their views represented, rather than trying to excise DSA through fiat, they should make their own membership organizations and beat DSA with debate and better policies. They think their views should be default and hegemonic even if they're floated by industry rather than members dues....

Hopefully over the next few decades we will see the Democrats democratize more and for the party to be more than just a print shop and clearing house for industry, and to incorporate unions directly into party governance --- like the Australian Labor Party --- rather than just be the left wing of industry content to throw social groups under the bus.

I myself like DSA because of their policies and the fact you can participate without being an insider or going through some elitist vetting process...you can just start canvassing and campaigning on issues. I am warm to socialism but I also don't mind more liberal policies. Unfortunately it's the only game in town as far as mass membership organizations. I would be fine supporting people more liberal as long as they are not dogmatically anti communist. The thing is liberals should start organizing their own versions of DSA and make policies that actually work for more people and have mass appeal rather than relying on the corporate advisor class bubble. There can be a real left populist liberalism but it won't come about by just complaining about DSA rather than building a real grassroots movement.

Sweden social democrats Reddit?

Hi all

I love keeping up with center left parties like the ALP and UK Labour. I’d like to know if there are some reddits for the social democracy in Sweden? Particularly for the main parties but left or center works too. Would just like to keep up with their debates, policies, and electoral prospects nationally and in their localities

Norway socialism/socdem would also be quite nice to keep up with . Denmark maybe too but I have been turned off by their anti migration policies

Count Bin Face polls at 69% in Clacton by-election with resigned Nigel Farage at 17%

Frustrations over the background of the by-election which many voters consider to be unnecessary, expensive and even called to avoid accountability for Farage's donations scandal have left the former incumbent scrambling for relevance. 69% of Clacton voters express support for Bin Face when pressed to pick their preference even if overall undecided. A previous poll showed Farage at 21% and Bin Face at 33% with a significant amount of voters saying they were undecided or uninterested in voting in the by-election.

Dr. Sonai AMA?

I know the professor can be at times reclusive and hard to reach but is anyone in contact with him for organizing a forum on here for questions? I know there is growing curiosity about his phenomenal life and career; it would be amazing if the moderators could put something together with him!!

Coop Party

The Co-operative Party goes under the radar as the fourth largest Westminster party largely due to their pact partner Labour's brand and organization being much more prominent but I'm curious what people's experience of the Coop Party is and if there is any kind of active local organization where they live, and also if there would be interest in anyone starting a Coop Party page on reddit since there currently is not one!

Tbh I read about them a bit and saw the TLDR video haha and I think there is definitely interesting territory with Coop Party. They have proposed things like "mutualizing" the BBC i.e. bringing it into a cooperative model which I think could have merit. I think the approach of the party broadly could be considered either socialist or non-socialist but firmly progressive and at least soft left. I definitely see energy and potential in it albeit I admittedly know little about its parliamentarians except for Andy.

Super interesting that the future PM is also in another party than Labour!! I would hope he contribute to that party organization parallel to Labour and bring it into more prominence during his tenure. It's an opportunity to foster a new politics and develop new policies but also to build a broader progressive camp bringing in more people to politics.

Who provides DDG VPN + any deal with Mullvad?

Given the revelation of a cofounder Mullvad being the biggest funder a far-right party in Sweden backing “remigration,” I would like to know who the provider of DDG’s VPN services is.

Is DDG affiliated with Mullvad in any capacity such as for either VPN services or a default search engine deal? Thank you

More options for password generator

The password generation is useful but often services require some more specificity like special characters and specific lengths

Something like a slider for length and checkboxes for special chars, whether to include numbers etc would be nice

Thank you for your attention on this matter

ripping off sources?

Many sources of quality information are run sustained by ads, offers for subscriptions, donations, or by practices that offer their professional services.

What the AI search assistant is doing is hoovering up that expert human cultivated knowledge and auto-plagiarizing it without compensation, whereas without it one is encouraged to visit one or more sites wherein the user pays their way be seeing an ad or being aware of subscriptions or services they can get from the author or provider.

Defunding these sources encourages more sub par “AI” content. Ironically if DDG did eclipse Google it would be contributing to the same trends of shittification albeit marginally less so than Google is insisting on.

DDG advances the line that enabling by default disinformation prone ai summaries is fine because users can turn them off by cumbersome and technical means but authors and publishers get little at all choice in their work being sucked up by DDG’s powerful tech corporation partners and spat out while depriving them of the clicks and impressions they’ve earned. Certainly many use ad blockers but these knowledge providers deserve at least a fair go of having their work respected, unadulterated and accessible directly to their readers where they may see an ad, an offer for a service/subscription, or the donation page

Now perhaps DDG is very selective about the sources that go into overview but I could not find pages about that, just marketing sheets about how everything is so different. I would be interested to know what the DDG mix on search assist is or if it’s just relying on the jnfra of AI companies
