Deadpool game understood the character

Deadpool game understood the character

According to videos like this the game did not understood Deadpool and only perpetuated stereotypes about Deadpool about Deadpool making jokes about memes and him breaking the fourth wall. But then there is a scene where Deadpool looks at the mirror seeing his face saying 'why would anyone want to see that' and the game saying 'hope the game doesn't try to do the tragedy behind the comedy'. This makes me realize the game did understood Deadpool as a character. But that is not all because the game is said to be 'written and directed by Deadpool'. What I think is Deadpool does not want the game to be about 'I got cancer so weapon x and healing factor but my face is ruined so I use jokes to mask my pain blah blah blah' but wants to have the a cool game or at least what he considers to be cool. Deadpool wrote and directed a game which caters to the fans who liked him making jokes and breaking the fourth wall because that is what he thinks the audience wants instead of making a game about his trauma. There is a scene of Deadpool getting a script and he draws over it with a crayon thinking it is boring. The game makes more sense if you are aware that this is written and directed by Deadpool himself and that this is what he wants to show not his psychological state.

Doing both Heist and Bomb-Maker

Video shows the game lagging since I am recording this in QuickTime Player while playing the game. In order for you to do this glitch after finishing your call with Janus you need go out the way you came from. DO NOT GO OUT THROUGH THE SEWERS! You need to time the peps shooting and police stopping you to check your papers for this glitch to work. Also you do not need to shoot at Tarvos guy with PEPS like I did.

Looking at the Mafia III family promotional material

There are three thing I find interesting about this even though this was from 10 years ago. There are some incorrect info but let's ignore said incorrect info maybe some of them were mistakes.

  1. Marco Rusetto is shown here meaning Mafia II: Mobile is canon or it did happen but not in the way shown in the game itself. Maybe it is canon in a general sense excluding the contradictions between Mafia II proper and the mobile.

  2. Salieri Family is said to be still active in the present which would be at the time 2016. Who runs it? who are the current members? how did it continue after Salieri's arrest? No one knows but it still exists.

  3. Gravina Family for some reason is also mentioned here despite not being part of the main Mafia universe since it is from the Jimmy dlcs. I guess the Jimmy dlcs also happened but not in the way it was shown in the dlc? It like Mafia II: Mobile could be in parts where it doesn't contradict main Mafia universe? Maybe there was a 'canon Jimmy' and 'canon Jimmy' killed the Gravina family for whatever reasons.

This is what happened after getting to him in stealth. His dialogue is not hostile if you go through the ARC territory without attacking.

scene so non-canon it hurts

In episode 68 of the animated it adapts the cover stories of Coby and Helmeppo. The scene which so non-canon which was distracting was the picture above. There is no way someone like Morgan considers Garp a joke even if Garp does not go around acting all serious. I do not think someone as famous as Garp was not known to Morgan. Sure it was made in a time before more lore about Garp was revealed but it is still distracting.

A cop with a legitimate complaint

Instead of doing the usual 'I don't like augs' the cop has a legitimate complaint. A foreigner to learn his language. That is so refreshing...?

Pacifist run of this game

When it comes to doing a pacifist run of the game the question is 'Is it possible to beat the game without the player killing a single npc' and the answer to that question is...technically yes.

Some people might be confused and say all of the bosses must be killed by the player to complete the game but that is not true.

Barrett gets damaged by his own grenades and he can certainly blow himself to death. Fedorova is more tricky but you can trick her into electrocuting herself to death. Namir is the reason reason why it is technically possible to beat the game without killing anyone. It is possible to skip Namir boss fight using out of bounds glitch. As for Hyron women they are possible to be knocked out by a tranquilizer rifle and you can hide behind Zhao's body so that the sentry robot shoots at her trying to shoot through you.

so let's see the methods
Barrett: self sabotage by his own grenades
Fedorova: trick her into electrocuting herself to death
Namir: out of bounds glitch skipping his boss battle entirely
Helle and the other two Hyron women: tranquilize them
Zhao: hide behind her so the robot can kill her trying to kill you

The treatment of unpopular games in the series

One of the things I like about Eidos-Montreal Deus Ex stories is how it does not pretend the unpopular installments do not exist. Many franchise wether it is video games, films or comics tend to pretend their unpopular entries does existing or decanonize it but Eidos-Montreal did not. If you read Icarus Effect a character mentions the WTO is controlled by the Illuminati meaning Invisible War will eventually happen later in the timeline. Mankind Divided also has Alex Vega appear and the game mentions how she joined the Juggernaut Collective so they did not ignore The Fall. The Versalife vault in Palisade has an email talking about the Shackleton Facility meaning even Mankind Divided acknowledged Invisible War is the end of the Deus Ex timeline not the original even if it was a minor reference. Also I did not see Eidos-Montreal Deus Ex stories taking jabs at Invisible War and The Fall which would be very easy but they didn't. It is interesting to see they did not pander to those people.

Ivan Berk's story

While Ivan Berk was made mostly for the trailer the emails written sent to him represent that very well. It is a very sad one.

https://preview.redd.it/0tmvorpfpaih1.jpg?width=1634&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=00bda4a7933cadee5219f3133df014c2384fccba

After the Aug Incident Ivan Berk and his wife move had to move to Golem City. Despite his brother in law Lt. Whittaker(main antagonist of Desperate Measures) tried to get Ivan and Melissa out of there it failed and they had to stay in the ghetto.

https://preview.redd.it/xlmminblpaih1.png?width=2880&format=png&auto=webp&s=1314a8a2feb05f612ec0d1b306419a9ac4641dbd

Seeing his wife needing to go through hardships and seeing himself and other augs suffer in the Utulek Complex radicalized Ivan Berk.

https://preview.redd.it/bkd4gw8bqaih1.jpg?width=1637&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=dbbc2cc82690786ac2995cfdc85e4b6fe68de8e4

Ivan Berk joined the Augmented Rights Coalition. He was manipulated by Viktor Marchenko the Illuminati spy in ARC to think blowing up himself and the Ruzicka Station would be a noble sacrifice.

But at the end he was just a pawn for the Illuminati and it made things worse between naturals and augs

So this happened in the intro cutscene

Apparently in Mankind Divided an exploit could used during New Game+ which was using Micro-Assembler's dismantles abilities if you did not save and load the game. You can go around taking down the Jinn members and get their guns and ammo. I dismantled their weapons and ammo and made 50 Typhoon ammo. In the section where I need to save Singh I spammed the hell out of Typhoon rounds(16 of them)at Shadow Operatives. I was under the assumption the non-lethal Typhoon does not work on Shadow Operatives since they also wear masks like police but it worked on them. So this dialogue appears if you take them down.

Neo's screentime in Enter the Matrix

Keanu Reeves appears in original scenes in Enter the Matrix which are not archive footage from The Matrix Reloaded. When Morpheus greets Niobe and Ghost, Neo can be seen standing with Trinity. Neo says absolutely nothing and stands there for 6~8 seconds.

Non-lethal PRCS Wall Cloud

When it comes to blowing up PRCS Wall Cloud there is a issue if you want to do a true non-lethal run. The game never has the ship sink in game but it is assumed it eventually explodes. I have seen people knocking out everyone in the ship and placing their unconscious bodies outside the ship but that to me felt like a waste of time. Instead what I did was activating the cloak aug(and using mouse item duplication glitch for infinite bioelectric cells and activating Power Recirculator) then going around blowing the weak points only. I don't know about you but the ship isn't that big and Tracer Tong saids it takes 30 minutes for the ship to explode so if someone dies inside that ship it is their fault.(especially with the loud alarms)

Bandit Keith the American

As someone who is the most American looking character in Duel Monsters he is very fascinating. Bandit Keith speaks better Japanese than Pegasus J. Crawford. Unlike Pegasus, Keith does not have an accent and does not do the usual mixing english words when speaking Japanese like Pegasus does. For a guy so American designed it is surprising that this guy learned and mastered a foreign language to that degree.

How to include DLCs to the campaign if there is Director's Cut of this game

Unlike The Missing Link dlc for Human Revolution you cannot simply put the three dlcs in the middle of games.

In order to make this mission fit they would have to first remove Chang from the Cyber Crime Division location so that Jensen meets Chang on his way out of TF29 after his visit to Golem City. Also instead of having Jensen going outside of TF29 using his keycard, meeting Pavla, arriving and leaving Terminal Station in a cutscene those section would all have to changed so that Jensen physically walks to those places. I think Desperate Measures should start at any point after Jensen leaves TF29 after his return from Golem City.

System Rift is the confusing one while it still takes place after Golem City and has to be after Desperate Measures. How to fit this story in the middle of the game is the question because of how the dlc starts. The weird thing about that dlc is that it starts with Adam sitting in his house watching tv. I am not sure having a objective called 'go to your house and watch tv' makes any sense. At no point in Mankind Divided other than side missions involving 'Helle' makes you go to Adam's house during the second visit to Prague. The DLC's opening needs a lot of change. It would also require the player to be able to freely go back and forward to the Palisade Blade's plaza and the metro around it. Also I am not sure how to deal with the part where Adam jumps to the water to escape blade. Maybe make it so he jumps in the water and teleports to the Plaza?(and later take the metro home)

Criminal Past would have to stay in a Jensen Stories. The part where Adam is in Arizona prison is set 6 months before Mankind Divided but the part where Adam and Delara talks is set 3 months after Mankind Divided.(dlc mentions Arizona events happened 9 months ago) You cannot simply put prison events in the start of the game and then put the part where Adam and Delara talking at the end of the game since it destroys the flow of that story.

Desperate Measures is the easiest to incorporate in the main game and System Rift would require some story alteration but Criminal Past is not possible to be a part of the main game.

Completing System Rift non-lethal and something else...

So here is email in System Rift mentioning emails from Desperate Measures specifically Sean Timmins. (Simmon Whittaker is mentioned in the main Mankind Divided so that is not a Desperate Measures reference)

Also I completed a non-lethal run of System Rift. The method mostly involved turning on the cloak aug and running to closest cover.

currently completed non-lethal campaigns

  1. Deus Ex
  2. Human Revolution(director’s cut): still need to find a way for Namir to damage himself
  3. Missing Link(director’s cut)
  4. Mankind Divided
  5. Desperate Measures
  6. System Rift
  7. Criminal Past

currently uncompleted non-lethal campaigns

  1. Invisible War

  2. The Fall

Non-lethal run of Criminal Past completed

I completed a non-lethal run of this game.

currently completed non-lethal

  1. Deus Ex
  2. Human Revolution: Director's Cut(although I do need to find a way for true non-lethal run. Barrett can die to his own grenades, Fedorova can electrocute herself to death, Hyron women can be tranquilized and you can hide behind Zhao so she can be killed by a robot but Namir is the only one I could not find a way for him to die by attacks which is not from the player)
  3. Mankind Divided
  4. Desperate Measures
  5. Criminal Past

currently uncompleted non-lethal

  1. Invisible War

  2. The Fall

  3. System Rift

The average non-augmented human experience in Criminal Past

In my recent run of Criminal Past I completed the thing without using any of the augs. I also avoided interacting with npcs unless it was absolutely necessary to progress with the story. So I went around shooting at the guards after raiding first armory I saw and occasionally found parts to make multitools which I used to shut down the turrets near the landing pad. This play required looking at pocket secretaries because I couldn't find a single computer I could hack so I needed to look for passwords and I had to crawl through a lot of vents since I needed to save resources. I also had to resort to throwing a grenade and shooting the door down to progress to the next area. Overall I played Criminal Past in the most non-RPG way possible and for the first time playing the games I had the natural human experience which means no mechanical advantages.

Timeline of Criminal Past

In Mankind Divided proper it is mentioned that Adam joined Task Force 29 6 months ago but it also states he stayed in Prague for 6 months. A important thing to note is before coming to Prague, Adam worked under Christian Jarreau in the North American Division of TF29. It could be assumed Adam was part of North American division for a very short time before going to Prague for Central European Division since it was still 6 months before Mankind Divided.

In the opening of Criminal Past, Delara states the events of Arizona happened 9 months ago. Since Adam's North American Division days were 6 months ago it could be said Adam and Delara are talking 3 months after the events of Mankind Divided proper.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uvSs5b6y-YM&t=91s According to this trailer Mankind Divided takes place in October of 2029. Since 3 months passed it could be said Adam and Delara are talking about the events of Arizona in January of 2030. But if you consider one of the endings saying Human Restoration Act passed it could mean Mankind Divided could be set in November of 2029 meaning it could be February of 2030. Either way the last DLC is set in 2030(the parts where Adam and Delara are talking).
