Launch Android Emulators and iOS Simulators without opening Android Studio or Xcode now reaches 500+ stars. Thank you for all your supports

Hey folks,

Just wanted to share a quick milestone that blew my mind today. I launched SimUtil about 4 months ago, and I just crossed the 500-star mark on GitHub!

To be honest, I never thought it would reach this many people when I first started. I'm incredibly grateful for all the support, stars, and feedback.

I'm currently working hard on developing new updates and improving the tool. Thank you all so much for making this happen! 🙏

From only launching simulators in terminal, I upgraded to interact them with external tools fully extensible via YAML, opening scrcpy is not difficult at all 🤖

Hi everyone,

For a CLI tool targeting Android and iOS simulators, I’ve always felt that supporting interaction with external CLIs is a must-have feature to make workflows smoother.

After experimenting with a few approaches, I’ve finally added external plugin support to SimUtil via YAML configuration. This allows you to bring your favorite external tools and interact with them directly inside SimUtil without rewriting anything.

The video is quick example of how easy it is to integrate scrcpy.

You can check out the source code, view the full documentation, or give it a spin here: https://github.com/dungngminh/simutil

Would love to hear your thoughts! What external CLIs or tools do you usually combine with your simulator workflow that you'd like to see configured?

Launching iOS simulators / Android emulators, manage physical devices, ADB tools right on Terminal, no need to open heavy IDEs

Hi folks,

I'd like to introduce a TUI app named SimUtil - Quick launch Android emulators / iOS simulators, discover physical devices, ADB tools and more.

Here is repository: https://github.com/dungngminh/simutil

For Android emulators, SimUtil has built-in launch options like cold boot, no audio, etc., without needing to type commands or perform additional steps.

I also have pairing Android wireless devices feature similar to Android Studio.

Currently, I've only launched features for the simulator; I'm in the process of adding features for physical devices like scrcpy, drag and drop to install apk, etc.

Hopefully, this tool will be useful to everyone. Thank you for reading this post. Happy coding 💙

Just shipped wireless device pairing in SimUtil — same mDNS discovery flow Android Studio uses, but from your terminal 🚀

Pair Android 11+ devices with a 6-digit code. No need to open Android Studio 🤠

SimUtil is cross platform utility TUI app for launching iOS simulators / Android emulators, discover physical devices, ADB tools and more 🤖

I'm adding more toys to help you guys leverage all the interaction between the physical devices and simulators on the terminal 🔥
