I'm starting to think this gamemode is borderline unplayable on console.

With how many people who abuse the mouse and keyboard there are it's really hard to find a match without any cheaters.

Due to how little players play the gamemode, matches have the same players in them which is ridiculous when you consider pocketed XIMers just break the game and steam roll newer players.

Obviously blizzard won't ban them but it's so annoying.

Anybody else felt a suddrn surge of very bad players?

Like, almost every match I play had at least one person averaging less than 1000 damage/healing each round, it's even worse when whole teams are like that.

Matches that feel balanced don't happen as often and when they do it's usually because one player plays so well they can make up for the bad ones.

These minecraft videos which look like they're pumped up by some sort of machine.

No hate to specific people but I've noticed that a ton of minecraft gameplay videos follow the same formula:

1 always has subtitles.

2 the player will make some slightly unhinged jokes and scream OR they will talk in the most calm voice possible.

3 it cuts every 5 seconds.

4 they're voiced by a young white dude who speaks in popular slang.

5 the music is always some sort of calm mystery theme.

I swear there are thousands of the same exact youtubers who sound the same way. I wouldn't be suprised if these videos were being artificially pumped out my some kind of company.

What i hate about them the most is just the lack of originality.

I'm not a fan of how much points of no return the game has.

I understand some features need this (like getting shadow crystals from previous chapters wouldn't make sense)

But some items are really weird for being this limited.

Chapter 3 is by far the worst in this, the whole sword route is so easly missable it's insane. The egg is bad too since you can get locked our of it easly too (that's ignoring how obnoxious it is to get in the first place)

But besides that, we have fusion items, we kinda have to know in hindsight to get the necessary items since we can't do that later (when we actually get the ability to fuse).

Some fights in the dojo are missable too.

The game does a good job at signaling some of the "points of no return" like with recruits and boss fights but it completely drops the ball in chapter 3 and other things I mentioned.

Anybody feels similar about this? (Also this is supposed to be constructive criticism post, I love Deltarune but I can still acknowledge some flaws)

I'm not a fan of how Castletown is handled.

It's clearly supposed to be kinda a hub world for the dark worlds where we can do stuff without being in a hurry but the way it's being handled really works against this.

The only 2 things that are done well in it are the piano room and the guitar game since both of these features are developed and fun.

The dojo is by far the worst part of Castletown. The rewards are missable which is stupid and the dojo isn't even accessible all the time.

I get deltarune is a subversion of some RPG tropes but some of them exist for a good reason. Castletown is meant to be a goofy place where you can do stuff but currently it's just messy with how randomly npcs seem to be placed sometimes.

Really hope it gets improved in later chapters and we get an actual way to refight bosses.

Anybody else found the Susie's home montage creepy?

Despite it showing Susie having an actual home full of people who care about her there was something unsettling about it. I'm curious how this will play out in the future since dark worlds probably won't be there forever.

Subnautica 2 early access feedback

I'd like to share some feedback to the developers since I have just finished playing the early access (I reached the end of the current storyline). I'll try to avoid mentioning things that are discussed a lot.

1 Biomods - I believe that the dash upgrade should just become baseline since it felt really natural and many gameplay aspects felt like they were made with it in mind (dodging creatures or running away from toxic gas after getting the medical plant). Some of the other biomods need slight buffs since they don't feel satysfying to use.

2 Bloom infection - While the first two infections are fun and simple. The third one (the one under the power plant) is really unintuitive. The messages given by the PDA confused me when I was playing and I don't remember anything alluding to the fact that the closed bloom things need to be destroyed last. There should be a clearer way to tell how many bloom things are destroyed and most importantly, how to destroy the closed ones.

3 Power plant repair - While I really like that we are encouraged to make a smaller camp near the power plant to gather necessary resources. I'm not a fan of how unclear is what we're actually supposed to do there (stumbling upon the control rooms and figuring out what do do in them felt a bit unintuitive.

4 Darkness - This may be caused by the new lighting system but the game feels really dark to the point where it's plain annoying. By far the worst offender of this is the power plant while playing at night. Curriently the night straight up makes the game less fun to me (especially since it cannot be skipped), everything is dark and even with lights exploring the terrain or really doing anything outside your base is annoyingly hard. I think the game could benefit from the darkness (especially at night) being lowered slightly.

Repaired the power plant but the little ball is still shaking. What should I do?

I though I'm supposed to activate the thing in the upper alien room but I'm unable to do so

I think people underestimate the difficulty of making predators' encounters engaging.

This is not a part of the killing debate btw.

What I'm trying to say is that it's incredibly hard to make the non leviathan encounters challenging while not being annoying.

In the og subnautica I felt like I could straight up ignore most of not all smaller predators. Sure they could attack me but I could just wait them out and heal after the fact. While in a vehicle they were pretty much non existent.

Below zero is forgettable so won't mention it here.

Subnautica 2 does a better job at handling the threats since the areas in which they appear seem to be designed with dodging them in mind.

That being said, I wish devs made the encounters more interesting than "avoid them or take chip damage"

I hate how corporate minecraft feels now (image somewhat related)

The whole minecraft live feels like it's made by aliens pretending to be people. The Lady Agnes is by far the worst here, she talks like a corporate dictionary and it's really creepy. It's almost like she can't say a sentence without mentioning "new exciting features" or "new experiances". I swear the word "experiances" is the biggest nothing burger I've seen in this context.

The parts where they show actual devs look weird too, they talk and behave like there's a gun pointed at them.

Another really annoying thing I've notticed is how much they promote the addons during minecraft live. They spent more time talking about microtransactions than they did talking about the new update. Speaking of which:

It's ridiculous they have this big show hyping up the new feature just to show us basically nothing while constantly telling us "there will be more in the future". Ffs if theres going to be more interesting stuff the maybe show us a little teaser? No wonder people always complain since the extra stuff we get later is usually disappointing.

I hope I mamaged to accurately portray my hatered.

Is the wakemaker bad or is it just me?

For some reason i barely see a difference in speed when i pull out the wakemaker. Sea glide was a huge improvement in the og and I'm not sure if wakemaker is just bad or if I'm expecting too much from it.

I freaking love the processor

It's a great way to make more obscure items useful and even tho the wait time can be annoying the whole process is very satisfying

This subreddit needs to be closed down like the first one.

Almost every post I see here is just a mentally ill child saying they're gonna kill themselves.

No-one here can give professional advice regarding a topic this severe. Heck, it comes down to other mentally ill children giving advice which is very harmful.

This subreddit brings more harm that it does good things so I think it needs to be deleted before something horrible happens

I adore the idea of Steven's trauma being touched upon and how this mini series addressed some of the unfinished storyline from the main show.

What I don't like is how uncanny it felt sometimes, I don't know how to explain it but the characters don't feel like themselves for me. Mostly crystal gems, they felt very surface level with some small exceptions.

The messages that appeared in future felt really hamfisted with zero subtlety. Everything was spelled out to us and the dialogue felt off. Most glaring example is when the diamonds were constantly mentioning their "new powers" and what they can do. It felt out of place for them to talk like that.

Animation snd general art direction kinda lacked too imo. Nothing big but there were moments that looked cheap.

This one is very personal but I didn't like the ending. Steven giving some gifts to the gems and just leaving felt underwhelming. Jasper was left with absolutely nothing too, its like they only introduced her as a plot device for Steven and nothing else.

Also most importantly, wtf is the deal with onion? Why is he still a little kid?
