Wolfbrook’s fast-track bid for 1,000-home Pegasus development declined by Government

The Government has declined Wolfbrook Developments’ fast-track referral application for its proposed Pegasus West development on the former Pegasus Golf Course.

The proposal was for approximately 1,000 residential lots across 77 hectares, along with a commercial and community centre.

Infrastructure Minister Chris Bishop determined the approvals would be more appropriately dealt with under other legislation rather than through the Fast-track Approvals Act.

Waimakariri MP Matt Doocey, who opposed both the development and its use of fast-track, has welcomed the decision.

The decision means Wolfbrook’s current application will not progress to the substantive fast-track approval stage. It doesn’t necessarily prevent Wolfbrook pursuing the development through other consenting processes or making another fast-track application.

Yet another moan about the wind

It's so windy today!!! I've been in Christchurch for just over a year now, and the weather has been very unpleasant. Before I moved, people said Christchurch's weather is like Hastings and Nelson's... it's not. I miss Hastings' weather 😭

Biking home from uni today was terrible: cold, loud, strong side and headwind that pushed me off course.

NZ is the fourth windiest country in the world...I might move to another country.

2 DEG Refuses to issue receipts?

News Flash CHCH. NZ has absolutely nothing to worry about with "AI". We are 10 years behind any other Country anyways! How the f*ck does 2Deg Mobile keep getting away with not providing access or a copy of receipts for top up payments?

Amount of townhouses on the property market

Recently started looking to buy a house and can't believe how many of these 2 storey townhouses are on the market. Last time I was buying 7 years ago was completely different there were not many of these things then. Now you have to sift through pages of these to try to find something different. Who is gonna buy all these things? And seeing as the market is over saturated with them is there potential for some bargains or are they just overpriced/poor quality?

Kea Aerospace ChCh

Kea Aerospace is setting up a new facility here to build NZ’s largest uncrewed aircraft in chch by Mark Rocket. Apparently the wingspan will be about the same as an Airbus A320. Chch is starting to make other NZ Cities look rather average lol.

Even in the cold

Gotta give Christchurch credit – even with the wild weather this week, the city still looks incredible. Blue skies one minute, snow the next. Love living here. ❄️☀️
