before you start asking, no, this is not a reference to skibidi toilet, as much i would like to see it in a wild on an unrelated video, this isn't the case here

do you want a monster V monster film that isn't a part of the kaiju genre?

think about the potential of a Creature V Creature film that does not involve giant building-sized monsters punching each other, how come there hasn't been a film like that? sure there are the Alien vs Predator films, but i think the untapped potential of this premise is huge, for example; we could have a siren head horror movie about groups of people being hunted down by the titular title monster, and then later we get a sequel, let's just say titled "siren head's counter attack" where the same siren head (or a second one if one from the first film died just to reveal there more than one of them) fought lamppost head late in the film, where siren head came out victorious in defeating the lamppost head before resume hunting our beloved main cast, i made this example solely because of the announcement of a siren head horror film in the works

what do you think?

i am not here to stir up drama or spread hate or anything.

what is/are your dinosaur-related childhood trauma?

preferably from the internet or from random paleo media.

i have two moments/things from dinosaur media that used to scared me as a kid, one was not really a childhood trauma, but i remember being absolutely weirded out by some of the calls the animals let out in the carnivores hunting games, specifically ankylosaurus, chasmosaurus (C2), and triceratops, they sounded both way too human and non-human at the same time, at least to me when i was young, idk how to describe it, the second one was obviously primeval (a television show by BBC), some of the dinosaurs/extinct animals and even many of the fictitious creatures used to frightened child me, this includes; spinosaurus (had something to do with how skinny it is, even when compared to Jp3 spino), future predator (this was my Slenderman or scp-096 as a kid), mosasaur (i absolutely h8 big scary sea monster in open waters, 2 dhis day), precambrian worms (how da hell did this thing even existed? this shouldn't exist on earth millions of years, it should belong in the backrooms), tree creeper (ucanny valley definitely played the huge role in this), and dromaeosaur (though I wasn't scared as much as the previous ones).

(i'm not here to stir drama, or spread hate, or anything with bad intentions)

do you think what would happen if king kong fought a paleo-accurate T.rex instead of pop culture Rex or V-rex?

how do you think this fight will play out super differently from the movies? i always like to imagine the real Rexes (ones from hell creek) to be more animal-like in behavior and no more bloodthirsty than your average Polar bear compared to pop culture depictions of them or V-rexes, which are basically fantasy monsters that attack everything in sight, i have a feeling these T.rexes would be more cautious when confronting the giant ape

imagine a film inspired by 10,000 BC but with dinosaurs and other mesozoic reptiles

wouldn't humans just go extinct in like... a week? just kidding, prehistoric humans were no joke in how they take down woolly mammoths, so the same would naturally also apply here with triceratops

also do you think modern audiences would not like this film because nowadays people tend to see cavemen and dinosaurs coexisting in movies (like 1 million BC) as an example of bad science? if they formulate this film's plot as fantasy instead of historical fiction from the start then i'd be more on board with it, otherwise, yea people have the right to tear this film apart and accuse it for false advertising

why some people are fine with kaiju existing in the modern world, but have much harder time imagining dragons or mythical creatures living in that same setting type?

who do some people are okay with the idea of kaijus or giant monsters being in a modern setting, but on other hands they have an absolutely difficult time imagining dragons, wyverns, or other mythological creatures being in that same setting type? and no, I don't mean draconic kaijus or giant versions of mythical creatures

my answer to this double standard is probably because every region that were once labeled with ominous quotes such like "here be dragons" have since been mapped out, and many real world phenomena that were once attributed to mythical creatures have now been discovered to have a more mundane and non supernatural explanation, including skeletons of strange otherworldly creatures that were attributed to dragons turns out to once belong to dinosaurs and other extinct reptiles, groups of animals that, while still being treated in modern pop culture as basically new age dragons (ironically since non-avian dinosaurs have gone extinct long before Markiplier say "was that the bite of 87?!?!), were probably no different than modern animals that are still alive, or mysterious deposits of allegedly demonic stones that killed poor souls who were unfortunate enough to get too close to it are revealed to be, well, just radioactive rocks, this perfectly segways me into kaijus has and have always been associated with radiation, do you see the patterns here? KAIJUS (especially the dinosaur looking ones), ARE MEANT TO BE NEW AGE DRAGONS, make sense, right? the dinosaur-inspired design, radioactive biology that some people, especially in ancient times, might misinterpret it as magic or demonic powers, and even the fact they're mostly constant threat to humanity with a couple good/heroic ones that protect and aid humanity, like how there are benevolent and malevolent dragons across cultures around the globe (i.e eastern dragons are heroes while western dragons are villains), in short terms; the world and how it works became so better understood that it's VERY hard to imagine a flying magical reptile perching atop a skyscraper

what do you guys think? are there any flaws and nitpicks you have with my observation?, do you have other or more answers to this question? let me know!, feedback will be appreciated

[TOMT] a YT video about early iphone nostalgia (2023-2024)

all i can remember from this vid is that the person talking in it is female and has a high pitched voice, some segments that i still remember are her talking about the early days of jailbreaking in iphone devices, early mobile games and how it quickly turned into one of the most profitable (and strangest in terms of ads) businesses in gaming, the title of this video, from i recollect, is either "early iphone nostalgia" or "the early days of iphone", but it's probably none of either as i couldn't find the video when i search for them, can anybody find the video and the channel that posted it?

those are supposed to be Trevor Henderson entities apparently

in honor of the siren head horror film being in the works

while it's very easy to laugh at Trevor Henderson's... legacy if you want to call it, with how many kids who are fans of his creations and just lurking on the internet for some reason (YouTube especially), we can't deny that siren head and other entities like cartoon cat have made quite a huge impact on the internet horror landscape when they're viral, before kids and content farm ruin it, that's why for years until now i mostly avoided Trevor Henderson because anytime i think of his creatures i only think of.... this (and it scares me)

do you think a single adult sauropod could feed an entire village of humans for a few weeks?

like the one in the image you're seeing here (mamenchisaurus)

personally, i'm leaning towards whether or not this creature is edible towards people or not, before i go into if it could feed an entire village for few weeks

are non-avian dinosaurs count as "megafauna"?

this is the first time i'm posting in this subreddit community, so apologies for the occasional errors and mistakes, i'm not here to stir up drama or seek attention, or karma farm, i'm just here to ask questions

google says it, so it must be, if so, then why don't more people refer to them as this term?

[TOMT] [YT videos] [early 2010s] fake slenderman sighting video with the soundtrack "lux aeterna" as the background music

apologize for the occasional mistakes and errors, i'm not here to stir up drama, or seek attention, i'm just here to ask you for help

i remember first stumbling across this video when i was younger, around i assume 2012-2014, nevertheless it's definitely in the early 2010s, the video's title was somewhere along the lines of "slenderman sighting 2012" or "slenderman sighting 2013" from my recollection, but I can't seem to find this video anywhere on YouTube, the video is one of those fake slenderman found footage/sightings in real life type of vids that were common throughout the internet during the early 2010s that used to freak out ten year olds on YouTube, the video starts with a pitch black backdrop and white text, likely made in Microsoft video editor, alongside the soundtrack "lux aeterna" from the film requiem for a dream, composed by Clint Mansell, or maybe a re-orchestrated version of the song "requiem for a tower", famously used in the trailer of lord of the rings: two towers, playing as the background music, slenderman, on the other hand, needs little introduction, he was perhaps the most famous internet horror character of the early 2010s, created by Victor surge (Eric Knudson) on the something awful forums, and immediately exploded in popularity thanks to a little indie game slender: the eight pages, the text, if i remember correctly, says something about two teenagers go to explore a heavily wooded areas, with a date attached to it, though i could be wrong, then the video cuts to the found footage segment, the footage was recorded by a teenager and his friend, who go out hiking in a nearby forest (i assume) during daytime, i recall that the amount of time the two teenagers were walking through the forest was a couple minutes (4-5 minutes i assume), though i could wrong, after minutes of wandering, one of the two teenagers spotted a tall, faceless figure standing next to a tree, that figure, of course, is slenderman, the teenagers were understandably freak out upon the sight of him, and they quickly began to run away, after a couple seconds of running, the footage immediately ends, leaving the fate of them completely ambiguous, and up to the interpretation

if some of you guys remember seeing the video, the name of the channel that upload it, or recall some more details on it, let me know!, so i hope it's up to someone to locate and potentially find the video, or at least, the reuploads in case the original was privated
