Anyone own the Nighthawk Titan by GoKartGod?

I’ve been looking at the Nighthawk Titan by GoKartGod, and it honestly looks like a ton of fun. I’m not planning on racing competitively or anything. I’d mostly be using it as a weekend toy to cruise around on private property or just have fun

For anyone who owns one:

How has the reliability been?
Is it actually as fun as it looks?
Any regrets after buying it?
How’s the build quality?
Is it worth the price, or are there better options in the same range?

I’d love to hear from actual owners before I spend the money. Pictures or videos of your setup would be awesome too. Thanks

I asked if GTIs were cop magnets… I got my answer in 5 days. 😭

Some of you might remember that last month I made a post asking if the GTI was a cop magnet.
Well… I bought one, and I’ve owned it for less than a week. 😭 Five days.

I was driving home from the casino around 11:30 PM and got pulled over because I didn’t have a license plate. I bought the car in Las Vegas, and Nevada doesn’t issue license plates at the dealership like California does, so I’m still waiting on mine.

The officer was actually cool about it and didn’t cite me for the missing plate. Instead, I got a ticket for my front windshield tint. There goes $260 down the drain… plus the $25 correction fee and whatever it’s going to cost to have the tint removed.

So yeah… five days into GTI ownership and I’m already a few hundred dollars in the hole.

Do you use rain guards on your MK8/MK8.5 GTI? Any downsides?

I’m thinking about installing a set of in-channel rain guards on my 2025 GTI because I like the OEM look and being able to crack the windows when it’s raining.
I’m currently looking at a set on eBay, but I’m curious if they’re worth buying or if I should spend more on a different brand.

For those of you who have them:
What brand did you go with?
Have they caused any issues with the auto-up/down windows or window seals?

Any wind noise or rattling at highway speeds?
If you’ve tried the cheaper eBay ones, how have they held up?
Would you buy them again, or skip them?

If you have any installed, I’d really appreciate it if you could post a few pictures of how they look on your GTI. I’d love to see how they fit before I order a set.

Is the GTI a cop magnet?

I’m planning on buying a 2025+ GTI soon and was curious about other owners’ experiences.

I’ll be keeping the car mostly stock. The only modifications I plan to make right away are window tint: 50% on the windshield and 20% on the side and rear windows.

I drive pretty conservatively and rarely speed. Right now I drive a Tesla, and I’ve never really felt like it attracts any attention from law enforcement, even though my tint could technically give them a reason to pull me over if they wanted to.

For those of you who own a GTI, do you find that cops pay more attention to the car compared to other vehicles? Have you had any issues with being stopped or “looked at” more often, even when driving normally?

I’m located in Southern California if that makes a difference.
