Pastor Steven Tendo's state rep Senator Kesha Ram Hinsdale and Rev. Karen G. Johnston were barred from attending Steven's hearing today at the ICE Field Office in St. Albans. Luckily the hearing went relatively well otherwise as Steven was released to a cheering crowd of fellow Vermonters without any further incidents.
His lawyer was worried that ICE might try to deport him today. The stakes were very high because if he's deported to Uganda his life would be in danger. His next hearing is on November 19th. Please show up! ABOLISH AND PROSECUTE ICE!!!!!

Before she was arrested by the Vermont State Police during the 7/24 protest at the Williston ICE spy center, 74 year old Linda told a funny story about them being trolled by Vermont prisoners.

13 people were arrested today, myself included, at ICE’s National Criminal Analysis and Targeting Center at White Cap Business Park in Williston, Vermont. This is ICE’s national spy center, where surveillance of Americans is orchestrated. Using non violent direct action we shut it down for the day. I made it known that I was an independent photojournalist and the response was that I would be arrested first. I managed to stay till the end and could’ve gotten away scot-free but I wanted to stay and make sure the police didn’t manhandle the woman with the walker, especially after watching how they arrested 79 year old Hank Prensky at the last action in May. After that, they cuffed me. Abolish and prosecute ICE!

Protest yesterday to demand justice for Lorenzo & Joan. José Estrada Jerez, a US citizen who was in house in South Burlington along with his uncle and several other people during the March 11th ICE raid, spoke of the impact the 11th and all the other examples of ICE terror has had on him and his immigrant family members. Abolish ICE!!!!

Today’s support rally for Vermonter, pastor, and UVM Support Staff Member Steven Tendo in St. Albans. He was accompanied by fellow clergy who were denied entry to his ICE hearing, something that hasn’t happened before. For those who don’t know, he was violently abducted by ICE agents on Feb. 4 at the VT assisted living facility where he works. He will have to report back to the ICE office in St. Albans in 60 days. Because of this ordeal, he’s been unable to work and lost his health insurance, a particularly acute problem because he suffers from diabetes. Please donate to his GoFundMe if you can!

Trump's Secretary of Education Linda McMahon and her entourage sped on Essex High School's school grounds during today's unscheduled visit, endangering the lives of high school students and nearly hitting a man on a bike. 100 students as well as other members of the community participated in an emergency protest. From what I heard at least, she was there to discuss the Trump admin's plan to rollout Al in our schools, something most teachers at the school oppose.

The City of Burlington just announced that they reviewed BPD's actions on March 11th and found that BPD used force that was "objectively reasonable and proportional". Here's a compilation of footage I shot from the day starting with BPD giving a woman a concussion and at the 15s mark you can see BPD kneeling on a woman who screams "I can't breathe" and then passes out.

I've included the other clips which have a mix of VSP, SBPD, & ICE assaults to demonstrate how brutal the assault on our community was. I was shoved twice for my attempts to capture some of the brutality and had a flashbang tossed at me, with it nearly exploding on my foot.

It looks a lot like Burlington has decided to try to out-quisling the Governor of New Jersey & Mayor of Newark. This decision couldn't have come at a worse time for the city. Time to take to the streets!

2pm at 64 Gricebrook, St Albans. Greencard holder Dung Cao and asylum seeker (and proud union member) Kelvin Owusu were both detained by immigration agents this morning. Rally at the ICE office to demand their freedom.

Footage captured by myself and a colleague at today's action at the ICE facility in Williston, Vermont. 4 people were arrested from the atrium after 10 police cruisers showed up at 11am while the protesters blocking the entrances were left alone (with the exception of heckling from an annoying MAGA troll who had also lead the counter protest at the recent action in St. Albans).
